After Judy's fateful interview, Things in Zootopia drastically changed. The Bad Guys laying low at their hideout for a while, at least until things calmed down. Nick actually came with them to get away from Zootopia.

Snake:Oh great. Chief is already making sure everyone in L.A knows about this whole predator thing.

Post:I KNEW IT! I KNEW THE BAD GUYS HAD BAD BLOOD THEM ALL ALONG! B.T.W Officer Grace, you owe me 40 bucks.

Diane sat next to Julie.

Julie:Mom, things are going to get better right?

Diane sighed.

Diane:I wish I knew, sweetie. I really do.

Julie decided to watch the Zootopia news to keep an eye on what was happening.

News Report:

Fabienne Growley:More bad news in this city gripped by fear.

The footage showed a caribou being carried on a gurney into an ambulance while three police officers restrain a muzzled polar bear.

Fabienne Growley:A caribou is in critical condition, the victim of a mauling by a savage polar bear. This, the 27th such attack, comes just one week after ZPD officer Judy Hopps connected the violence to traditionally predatory animals.

Peter Moosebridge:Meanwhile, a peace rally organized by pop star Gazelle was marred by protest.

The footage showed Judy between a pig and a female leopard.

Pig: Go back to the forest, predator!

Leopard: I'm from the savannah!

It then showed Gazelle being interviewed.

Gazelle:Zootopia is a unique place. It's a crazy, beautiful diverse city where we celebrate our differences. This is not the Zootopia I know. The Zootopia I know is better than this.

Judy was still between the argument, looking shameful.

Gazelle:We don't just blindly assign blame. We don't know why these attacks keep happening, but it is irresponsible to label all predators as savages.

One of the clips showed Mrs.Otterton in the asylum with Judy. Mrs.Otterton is horrified by what has happened to her husband.

Mrs.Otterton:That's not my Emmitt.

Judy comforted her.

Gazelle:We cannot let fear divide us. Please, give me back the Zootopia I love.

End of report

Later, Judy was at her desk typing a report a "savage mammal report" on Emmitt Otterton. Chief Bogo knocks on her wall.

Bogo:Come on, Hopps. The new mayor wants to see us.

Judy: The mayor? Why?

Bogo:It would seem you've arrived.

As Judy followed Bogo, she saw Clawhauser packing his things up.

Judy:Clawhauser? What are you doing?

Clawhauser:Um... They thought it would be better if a predator, such as myself, wasn't the first face that you see when you walk into the ZPD.

Judy was distraught.

Judy:What?

Clawhauser:They're gonna move me to records. It's downstairs. It's by the boiler.

Judy felt even more guilty. Bogo then called for Judy

Bogo:Hopps!

They went in to see Bellwether, who was mayor now. They had a small picture with Judy on the desk displaying her smiling face.

Judy:I don't understand.

Bellwether: Our city is 90% prey, Judy, and right now, they're just really scared. You're a hero to them. They trust you. And so that's why Chief Bogo and I want you to be the public face of the ZPD.

Judy gave it some thought and put the flyer down.

Judy:I'm not... I'm not a hero. I came here to make the world a better place, but I think I broke it.

Bogo:Don't give yourself so much credit, Hopps. The world has always been broken, that's why we need good cops. Like you.

Judy: With all due respect, sir, a good cop is supposed to serve and protect, help the city, not tear it apart.

She then uncliped her badge and sadly put it down on the desk.

Judy:I don't deserve this badge.

Both Bogo and Bellwether were surprised.

Bogo:Hopps?

Bellwether:Judy, you've worked so hard to get here. It's what you wanted since you were a kid. You can't quit.

Judy:Thank you for the opportunity.

Judy trudges slowly out the room as Chief Bogo and Bellwether sadly watch her go.
