Crescent Moon

At around 9:00 pm, Sinthia was sitting on the rooftop with her cousins, looking at the night sky. Night sky full of stars is one of her favorite themes. Whenever she draws something this theme is a must, even in her writings.
Tonight the sky is overcasted with clouds. Somewhere a storm occurred and that's why the weather is cold now. A cold breeze was blowing. Sinthia never liked this type of weather and the sky is not even her liking. But somewhat she found it pleasant tonight. She was sitting next to her cousin, Fab. She has 5 cousins who are younger than her and she just love to spend time with them. So, whenever she gets time, she calls them and spends time with them. They were having fun and suddenly, Fab grabbed her hand tightly so Sinthia looked at her. Fab pointed a finger at her.
Sinthia was a bit confused thinking what she's trying to say. Fab was sick so she didn't have the strength to say it out loud.
And she was staring at the kid like a dumb. So, Fab smiled at her and whispered,

-Why are you wearing that locket?

-Locket?!

-Yes, that half moon and the star. Why are you wearing that?

Sinthia chuckled hearing her. She remembered there's a heavenly necklace around her neck. In that necklace, there's a crescent moon with two stars nestled inside. Styled in sterling silver, white diamonds shimmer along the moon and blue diamonds fill one star. Blue diamonds are treated to permanently create the intense blue color. And it was like this :

She grabbed the moon of the necklace and told her,

-It's not a half moon. It's called Crescent Moon, Fab.

-Oww... the name is beautiful just like the moon. But why do you wear it?

She bite her bottom lip, a mischievous smile on her face, noticing all of them were curious to know why she was wearing that. They kept on insisting her to tell them the reason behind it. After some time, she started laughing.

-Okay... I'll tell you.

And with that, they became silent. She didn't expect them to be quite that suddenly and quickly. She looked at them and then started playing with the Crescent moon using her fingers.

-How about if I told you guys a story?

They straightened their back and nodded their heads. She knew they would be curious to know so why not making them more curious? She cleared her throat and started telling them a story. A story of a girl who was so loving and caring. To her, love should be equal and unconditional. Even though she never found anyone to love her back. In her entire life, the only thing she witnessed was hatred, betrayal and pains. She didn't have a family either.
Once, she found someone she thought the love of her life. And the guy was so gentle, caring , everything that a girl wish for in a boyfriend. Their relationship was perfect until she found out that the guy she was thinking as the love of her life, was never really the man. He was cheating on her from the beginning of their relation. Her heart broke into pieces. Everything that she dreamed for shattered in just a blink of her eyes. So, she decided to break up with him and to move on in her life. But she was still broken inside and when she was crying sitting on the footpath, a man sitting inside a blue car noticed her. He was crossing the road but when he saw her in that condition, he stopped the car and got out of it and seeing that girl's condition, his heart softened. He went towards the car again and then brought a box with him and with a smile , he handed her the box and told her that it was a gift. She nodded her head in denial because she can't receive a gift from an outsider. But the man didn't listen to her at all and said,

-You gonna love it and need it. Trust me. Take it.

He winked at her. So, she accepted that gift and thanked him so many times. And returning home, the first thing she did was opening the box to see what's in it and found a beautiful crescent moon necklace with two stars. There was a note too, and in that note, it's written;

"Don't take it off once you wear it.

Crescent Moon signifies many things.And one of them is reuniting with your soul mate in this lifetime. And those stars signifies manifesting something and your dreams and manifestations come true.Whenever you're going through a tough time, just look at the moon and you'll see even the shape of moon is not always the same just like our life.I'm leaving now butI'll return in your life again.Hope to see you very soon."

Sinthia looked at the kids and found them staring at her, curious look and not even blinking. She chuckled loudly.

-What's with that look?

Fab opened her mouth.

-That's the story of that girl. But why do you wear it?

She just smiled.

-What happened after that? Did he return?

This time, Evan opened his mouth.

-We can guess who that girl is though.

The kids were curious, Sinthia found only Evan smirking at her. And she knew, and she was sure of it that he understood what happened next. Fab kept on insisting her and Evan to tell them the rest of the story and who that girl was.
At that time, Sinthia heard someone coming towards them. A handsome man wearing black       t-shirt came and sat down beside those kids and started tickling them making them burst into laughter. She was looking at the man with a soft smile on her lips. And Evan was staring at the man, specially at his right hand as he was wearing a navy blue wrist watch with a silver crescent moon.

-Tell me, who's that man and who's that girl, please...

Fab was fake crying. Evan glanced at her and told her,

-The man is sitting with us, having fun 'cause in our family, only he has a blue car and blue is his favorite color. And if you didn't notice then let me tell you, one of the stars in that necklace is blue.

Her eyes widened.

-So, meaning, the girl is...

-Yep.

Evan smiled.

-The one who was sitting right beside you.

Fab turned around but didn't see Sinthia beside her because Sinthia was standing at one corner of the roof and looking at the sky. The sky is clear now and stars and a crescent moon appeared in the sky, radiating light. Just like the Crescent moon and those two stars were glowing, highlighting her beauty.
