Peace In Love

A rainy morning. It was raining since last night. So, Mira couldn't go to school and she has having a conversation with her best friend, Abrar through messenger app. They were just talking about random things to spend this monotonous time. While talking, Mira told Abrar about the love of her life whom she met online and they both love each other. The person even knows how to play a piano and many more musical instruments. According to the person, he loves Mira whole heartedly.
Mira noticed that while she was telling Abrar all those, he became upset. He was sad for some reason.

-What happened, Abrar?

-Nothing. Just take care of the person you love and give respect to him cos if you love someone, you need to respect him and take good care of him as well.

Then he bid goodbye to Mira and logged out of his messenger app.

-Why did he say that?

Mira was thinking in her mind.

Days passed. Abrar became busy with his study in abroad. And Mira was here in her city for study and she continued talking to the person she thought the love of her life. He was so gentle with her until one day he insisted on to read her mind to find something in her since he believed he has the ability to read someone's mind. Well, even though Mira doesn't believe in mental telepathy and reading minds activities, she never told him. Because she loved him and respected what he believes. And it's impossible to read her mind since he doesn't know her actual identity. Then why? Knowing everything why would he do that? She told him he's not allowed to do that because she didn't want him to be harmed because he told her it was bad for his health as well. And that is when he became suspicious of her. They had quarrels so many times. He used to blame Mira for everything that happened with him. If she made a post on FB, he used to ask her furiously if it was about him who she meant in her post. Also he couldn't bear the fact of her calling someone else 'Dear'. While he was calling others sweetie, honey, dear and so on. He used to say that she was only allowed to call him 'Dear' and no one else. According to him, he was jealous of it. So, she started living her life the way her online boyfriend wanted and thus, she lost herself. He used to misbehave with her too. Sometimes, she just lost her temper, and so they fought with each other too often.

Later on, he questioned on Mira's character and personality and not just about hers, he even questioned on her best friend, Abrar too. Because, he believed that he read her and her friend's minds and he found out something. And so he was charging her.

Anger filled up in Mira and she told him,

-If you were feeling insecured with me, then why were you talking to me? You could have told me directly. What was the need to insult my friend?

-You're secretive and you never shared anything with me.

-Yes, I'm very well aware of the fact that I'm secretive. Even I told you many times I don't like to share my personal information with anyone. And you should give me and my friend some respect.

Mira was crying hard.

-Now, stop calling me Baby and stop contacting me from now on.

Then, Mira logged out from her messenger. She was sick for two days but since her exams are very near at hand, she had to go to her tuition classes as every single moment is very precious to her now. And while Mira was in her tuition class, she got a phone call, a foreign number. It was Abrar. She received the call and he told me how the person she used to think as the love of her life insulted her friend. After that, all these happened.
Mira was crying her soul out. That person was planning to do this with her since the time she caught him lying to her about many things. It was all pre-planned. But she never thought he would behave that way with her. He did all these so Mira might reveal her identity to him because according to him she hid everything from him. How narcissistic person she was dealing with!

Mira just cried the whole day, didn't even eat properly and didn't realize when she fell into deep sleep while crying. And next day, waking up she got a notification that her best friend is returning after a really long time. Seeing the text, she felt like;

After searching for happiness in an ocean of sadness, she found just a little drop of happiness.

She didn't even know why but his text somehow comforted her.

Two days later.

Mira was telling Abrar what happened between her and the man. Listening to everything, he told her,

-It's good though. He's no more in your life now. He doesn't deserve you. And don't worry about him, he has a lot of partners, may be around 50, or more than that, so he'll be happy with them.

Mira started to cry again. And suddenly, Abrar pulled her into a warm, comforting hug.

-Don't cry. I'm always here for you. Always...

She glanced at Abrar who was smiling at her gently. Looking straight into his eyes, she found he was always the one who was a dedicated friend, a trustworthy person whom she can rely on and the one who always loved her despite knowing Mira never thought him like that. He never forced her to love him and he never had anyone else in his life either. Mira used to tease him a lot that he's shy with girls, yes he is, but that was not the reason why he never had a girlfriend. It was because he always loved Mira. He respected her all this time and she knows he cares for her too.

-Do you love me, Abrar?

Mira asked him, smirking at him.

-What?!

She chuckled loudly. He was shocked as hell.

-I know you love me, Abrar. Stop pretending now.

He smiled gently.

-If you knew then why the hell did you leave me?

She cupped his cheeks.

-It was all fated I guess. I hope you can forgive me.

He pulled her again into a tight hug.

-Don't go anywhere ever again. I don't want anyone to hurt you.

Mira smiled and felt his warmth in his embrace. It's true when he said,

'Falling in love is easy but maintaining is tough. Love is not just about all those lovey-dovey things and giving flowers and fine dinings. It's not an illusionary thing either. It's the purest thing one can ever feel in their life. But everything becomes meaningless if just one person is taking care of the other, just one person is respecting the other and the other is just being suspicious. Love and respect should be mutual. And without respect, there's no love.'

'I believe this kind of love is hard to find but I found it, through my best friend, Abrar. He taught me how to love myself and many more life lessons. This is what someone does when they truly love you. The person who love you unconditionally can never do anything for their own selfish motive. They'll do something for you because when they see you happy, it makes them happy too. This is what Love really is' - Mira smiled again thinking all these in her mind. She finally found the actual love of her life.
