Doctors ripped Amy's skin apart to start the procedure. They pulled her heart up close and started working at it. Amy's parents sat in the waiting room with the rest of her family. There were about 30 people in the waiting room. After 2 hours of surgery the doctors stitched her up, and put her into the recovery room. After 1 hour of recovery Amy was sent back to her original room, (I.C.U.- Intensive Care Unit). Her family (parents) came to visit her and started to cry since she almost died from a trauma attack. Amy was in even more pain, surgery and 3rd degree pains. She was in so much pain she fell asleep from the intense feeling. Amy woke up screaming and crying from the burning memory. She dreamed that she was dying in a huge fire pit, tied up, and paralyzed. Which practically real life, she was practically paralyzed from the whipping. Her whipping scars stood on her back hidden behind her more intense pain, burns. The cuts stung but didn't kill her, since she barely had skin on 70% of her body. Amy laid in that I.C.U, burn unit bed for 3 months when the skin (given to her) grew on naturally. She then went on to the regular rooms for 1 month. She then had a roommate, a 16 year old girl who was a cancer patient, kidney. The young girl was known as Denver Avery. Her parents were killed in a drunk driving accident when she was 7. Denver only had her long time boyfriend, Hunter Kerrigan. He was partially Denver's care giver when she was young. He was 14 when she was 7. He was always there with his mom, Ava Kerrigan and his dad Dennis Kerrigan. After 3 months the Kerrigan's finally adopted Denver and brought her inside. She was happy, since she had no one else. Amy talked her a little bit but her boyfriend, Hunter walked through the door and snapped at Amy. Amy was 17, talking to a 16 year old, what's the big deal? Hunter fed Denver through her tube. Amy watched and felt really bad for Denver. Amy didn't need a tube, she had nurses to feed her. She was in a full body cast so she couldn't feed herself. As Denver cried in pain, Hunter ran down the hall to get the doctors. Denver was admitted into surgery right away, it ended up being more cancer spreading through her body. Doctors only got a little bit of cancer, since it was hidden and it would've killed Denver. She returned to her room, with Hunter sitting in the chair crying.
