We arrived at an old, small house with a chain link fence.
Dallas bounded up the pouch steps
and barged into the house.
I heard him yelling, but I stayed outside in the yard with Tom."Who are these people?" I muttered.
Tom shrugged, "Dally's buddies. I don't remember all their names, but I think one of him is Curtis."
Dally and six other guys came out the house."Brisco's meet the gang, gang meet the Brisco's." Dally announced.
I felt myself slouch and jam my fists into my pockets.
My shoes also became very interesting, I got extremely shy around strangers, which was weird because I didn't have stage fright.Tom grinned, "Hey y'all, I'm Tomcat and this my sister, Jaz." He pushed me in front of him, "Say hi, Jazmine."
"Hi." I said quietly and then elbowed Tom hard, "And don't ever call me Jazmine. It's just Jaz."
The biggest one kind of smiled at me, I guess he was Darrel because he did look like he was going to beat your head in, "I'm Darry."
The most attractive boy smiled a real smile, "I'm Sodapop, Darry's brother and this is Ponyboy, our youngest brother." He pulled the a boy that looked about my age closer to him.
He looked at me and then at the ground, "Hi." He said shyly.
Dallas threw his arm of over a dark headed one's shoulder,
"This Johnny, Johnny don't talk much, do you Johnny?"
The kid shook his head. The one with the greasiest hair flashed me a smile full of crooked teeth, "I'm Steve Randle."
A guy with reddish hair grinned at me, "Hi, Just Jaz, I'm Keith, but you can call me Two-Bit or the man of your dreams." He wiggled his eyebrows at me.
I wrinkled my nose, "I'm sorry, did you say you're name was Two-Butt?"
Two-Bit's grin slowly melted off his face as the other boys snickered."Or was it Two-Shit?" I asked myself and the gang got a good laugh out of that, expect for 'Two-Shit'.
"Or was it-" Tom clamped his hand over my mouth,
"Okay, Jaz, that's enough."
I bit his finger in response."OW! What the hell, Jaz?!" He cried.
I smiled sweetly and shrugged.
Darry invited us inside, we went into the sort of messy, but homey house.
Steve and Soda went and sat at the table and returned to their poker game, Two-Bit flopped on the floor to watch t.v., Darry disappeared with Tom and Dally into the kitchen, and Ponyboy and Johnny sat on the couch.
I awkwardly sat down beside Pony, who barely noticed me because his head was stuck in a book.
I tried to watch t.v., but I'd rather punch myself in the face than watch this ridiculous show: it was Mickey Mouse.Soda must have seen my sour face,
"Do you not like Mickey, Jaz?" He chuckled.I scoffed, "No."
Two-Bit gasped, "How could you not like Mickey?"
"It's for five year olds."
"It is not!" Two-Bit denied.
"Yes it is!" I grabbed the case for the tape off the table, "It says right there! For ages five to ten!"
"That's just a suggestion!" Two-Bit snapped and snatched the case from my hands and held it lovingly to his chest.
I groaned and rubbed my temples,
"You're giving me a headache."
This boy was too annoying for his own good, one day he was going to get smacked and that day might be today if he kept getting on my nerves.
