Frank jumped into the back seat as I put the car in drive. The space ship started to go east. I press the gas pedal down, and start to follow the ship. I turn a corner fast enough to accidentally make Frank hit the door on the right. "Watch it!" Frank yelled, regaining his seat.
"Sorry ." I apologize quickly.
I turn another corner, touching the breaks only slightly. I looked out the windshield. "Crap!"
"What?" Frank asked, leaning forward.
"The ship restored its cloaking-" I crashed head first into a another car by accident. The airbags didn't deploy, so my chest and head bumped into the sterring wheel. I rub my head as I lean back in my seat. "Device. Crap!" I hit the sterring wheel with the heel of my hands.
"Should I, uh... Call MIB car support?" Frank asked. I looked back at him. He smiled nervously.
"Hand me the earpiece." I reach my hand back for Frank to put the earpiece in it.
He stepped into the floorboard, picking the device up gently, and stepping back into the seat. He laid the device in my hand. I put it in my ear, and turned back around, pressing the button. "Zed..."
"Yes, Kay?" Zed sounded annoyed.
"Can you connect me to car support and bum me a ride back?" I ask, gulping. Zed sighed as if he was sevely more annoyed than I thought. "Please?"
"What made you think you could track a ship by yourself?" Zed asked, crossing his arms.
"Hey, you called me an' I asked for back-up!" I raise my hands up in defense. Frank and I were back at MIB headquarters. Zed had pulled us into his office to "talk calmly and have a normal conversation". That ended quick.
"You should've waited!" Zed said this at the top of his inside voice.
"That's what I said!" Frank butted in.
"Who's side are you on?" I looked at Frank questionably.
"Uh... Is that a trick question?" Frank sat down on the floor a foot away from me.
"Yes, Agent Kay, is that a trick question?" I looked back at Zed, who cocked his head a little to the side.
I was silent for a moment. "All of you are crazy." I go to step out of his office.
"Hey, hey! We still need to find Kay and Jay." Frank stepped in front of me.
"That's what I'm going to do." I walk out of the office.
"But-"
"Don't." Zed inturrupted Frank.
I walk into the weapons room. I look around the room; I didn't get a chance to look at all the weapons earlier. All of them were silver, and looked like something from Back To The Future or Star Trek. One looked more safisticated than the rest; it look slimer, not as bulky as than the others. It looked like a rifle with a scope. It was beautiful in the sense of craftsmanship. It looked like it wasn't part of the ordinary Earth weaponary, but also looked like it was meant to be. I picked it up. It wasn't heavy at all. It must have been lighter than all of the others because I remember Jay had a little trouble carrying his gun just to the car. The weapon had a slightly darker silver strap to it. I put it around my body, adjusting the strap a bit, and turning the strap to where the weapon was on my back.
I look around some more, seeing one other weapon that appealed to me; it looked similar to a pistol. I exit the weapons room, sticking the hand-held alien weapon in my inside jacket pocket. I went to the cars, picking one similar to the last one I picked. I opened the door, laying the weapon strapped across my body in the passenger side seat, and placing myself in the driver's seat.
I started it the same way as the last one. No one tells me anything. Not even where the keys are. I put the panel back under the sterring wheel this time. I pulled out of MIB and headed towards the city. It was getting slightly dark. Which made finding the ship harder. It had to be somewhere, I just don't know where. The only three places where aliens would want to go if they wanted to takeover the world was MIB, the white house, and Area 51. Which, out of those three, I only know two exist. But I wouldn't doubt it if Area 51 really did exist.
I stopped at a red light. I sighed. There was over a hundred and one places where you can hide in New York City. But when your a ship that can turn invisible, that adds one to the list. The light turns green. I lightly step on the gas, going forward.
"I wish I knew where the ship was... Or at least, I wish I could see it." I say to myself.
I look at my rear-view mirror. There was another car behind me; it was a dark copper color, and was a Buick. I didn't know what model it was, but I have seen these cars on the television.
"Nice car, bro. Where'd you get it? The 'bad-a**' shop?" I ask myself out loud.
The car passed me. I managed to glance at the driver; he looked exactly like one of the Kalhoun's, except it didn't have a cone head. It also had sunglasses on. As it went in front of me, I second guess myself. I watch the person in front of me; I second-guess as I see the person has hair from the back.
Three hours go by, and no luck. I travelled at the most eleven miles. I drive myself home, parking the car outside the apartment building. I take the under paneling off, taking it and sticking the edge to it again. The car shut off. It's a miracle.
I snap it back on, and step out of the car. I shut the door. I went over to the door of the apartment. Something felt weird, like something was going to happen. I stopped in front of the door to the building. I look over at Jeebs' pawn shop. Looking through the glass door, I saw nothing out of the ordinary. I look closer to see that Jeebs looks a little nervous. I turn around.
I look out at the street. I feel my stomach rumble. I haven't eaten since last night. I sigh. I didn't know where to go. I know I was at my apartment, but I was weary about staying here tonight.
I walk back to the car, opening the back door, and sit in the car. I shut the door, and shut the door. I lay in the seat, hoping to at least get some sleep. The alien pistol made my chest hurt when I layed against it. I took it out, laying it in the floor. I lay back down, closing my eyes.
I wake up the next day. I sat up and combed my fingers through my hair. I manuvered my way through the car to get to the front seat; I didn't feel like steeping out of the car. I did the same routine to start the car up as yesterday, this time throwing the panel in the back.
I put the car in gear and started down the street.
"Kay, where are you?" I hear Zed's voice through my earpeice.
"Um... Seventh street? No, I'm passing thirty-eighth street now." I answer.
"Come back to MIB."
