"In the mean time of things to come...." The teacher droned on and on.

"Today's lesson, you will take whatever scraps that I have brought into this very classroom and use your welding skills to construct something out of whatever it is that you choose, now it doesn't have to be anything specific really just create whatever you and when you're finished I will be inspecting, now let's get started." The teacher and patting the items on the push-in wheel cart.

Toby overheard a few of his classmates talking about using the scrap steel to weld a safe box for cash storage.

"Really?" Toby had thought in a judging manor.

Afterwards the teacher had called over Toby and Cody and the two brothers went over to the cart and they both had grabbed something.

Cody being the more basic one had grabbed a metal baseball bat and a small tubawear plastic bin of carpenter nails.

Toby had went over and grabbed a wooden axe handle, some bolts, a sheet of metal, a hole puncher to punch out the holes of the metal sheet for the bolts, a blow torch, a wrench, and of course a saw blade.

Toby looked over at his brother sitting next to him and soon watched Cody as he slipped on a welders mask and grabbed a blow torch and grabbed a drill.

Cody had drilled holes into the wooden bat itself and placed the nails into the holes and of course using the blow torch to fuse the metal together and finished working on it.

Toby grabbed the blow otrch that he had and had first grabbed the metal sheet and wrapped it around the wooden axe handle and welded the metal fusing the two ends of the metal sheet together.

Toby had grabbed the drill and drilled two holes into the axe handle and used the hole puncher to punch out the holes in the metal sheet and placed the bolts through the holes and tightened them with the wrench and welded the metal fusing it together just to make sure, he then took the saw blade and had used a wood cutter tool and used it to cut a slot, then he grabbed the saw blade and used the torch to cut it in half and such and used the one half to stick it inside the slot and fuse it together.

Toby went up and grabbed another wooden axe handle and did the same process as well creating not one but two saw blade axes.

Toby held both of them up for the teacher to inspect and the teacher congratulated Toby and Cody for constructing something for their first time was shockingly well put together.

Toby and Cody both took their work and placed it on the cabinet so it be stored in a cabinet in the room by the teacher.
