I slowly pull away from Tessa's lips

I slowly pull away from Tessa's lips. I watch as her eyes flutter open. "Wow..." she says in the sexiest, dreamiest way.

"Yeah... Wow," I agree. That was the best kiss I've ever had.

"That was just like my dream," Tessa murmurs.

"What?"

"Oh! Nothing." She begins to blush. I'm guessing she didn't mean to say that loud enough for me to hear.

"You were dreaming about me?" I smirk.

"Hardin..." She rolls her eyes at me.

"You were dreaming about me, huh? I guess that means you couldn't stop thinking about me, either. Was I good?" I raise an eyebrow.

"What?"

"It was a sex dream, right?"

"No! Just drop it, okay?"

"Don't worry. I've had quite a few sex dreams about you, too." I wink.

"Hardin! You're ruining a nice moment." She playfully hits me.

"I'm sorry." I chuckle before tucking her hair behind her ear. "Let's sit for a while?"

"Okay." Tessa gives me a small smile.

It's so much nicer to see her smiling than glaring at me. "You have a beautiful smile. You should smile more often." I playfully nudge her.

"I do. It's just that you don't see it very often because you're always ticking me off."

"Has anyone ever told you just how sassy you are, Theresa Young?"

"No. Everyone always tells me just how sweet I am." She gives me a big grin. "Wait. How do you know my full name?"

"Oh, um, I may have asked around..." I begin to nervously run my fingers through my hair.

"So, now you're stalking me?" She giggles and it's the most beautiful sound in the world.

"Hey, you're the one having inappropriate sex dreams about me!"

"Hardin! I was not," she huffs.

"I love when you scream my name like that." I smirk.

"You may be a more caring and gentler man than I thought, but I see you still have that ego."

"It's almost the biggest thing about me. Almost." I wiggle my eyebrows at her.

"Would you stop?" She says shyly and her cheeks turn a light pink.

"I'm sorry. Your innocence is quite endearing. Lie back with me?"

"What?" she asks shyly.

"Lie back with me. I'm going to give you a lesson about the stars." I point out a few constellations to Tessa and I use the opportunity to pull her closer, so she's snuggled up against me.

"Wow. You know so much about the sky."

"I spend a lot of time here. I'm happy I get to share this special place with someone now."

"Thank you for bringing me here. I already feel like I know you better. I-I just wish you were like this all the time," she whispers.

"I want to be. I like who I am when I'm with you. Tess, if you give me a chance, I promise you won't regret it."

"What about Molly, Hardin? Or all those other girls?"

"Don't worry about them. If you give me a chance, I promise I'm done being with anyone else, especially Molly."

"I don't know. I mean, it's been nice getting to know you... the real you, but how do I know you won't want to go back to them? I respect myself too much to get involved with someone who isn't willing to give me what I deserve. And I don't deserve to be constantly worried about Molly coming on to you or you sneaking around with someone else."

"Tess, I'm not a cheater. I like you. I want to get to know you better. I'm willing to take a chance on us, even if that means getting rid of everyone else. Don't you want to see where this could go?"

Tessa stares intently into my eyes before finally whispering, "I do."

I can't help but smile. I brush her hair off her face before cupping her cheek. "Let's seal it with a kiss." I pull her closer and give her another kiss. This time I let my lips linger on hers a little longer before gently tugging on her lip as I reluctantly pull away.

We lie looking up at the night sky reflected on the ceiling a little while longer before getting up and leaving my— no, our —special place behind.

I walk back to the frat house with Tessa's hand in mine and her wearing my leather jacket. I can't stop staring at her and how perfect she looks next to me. I have to remember to keep my hands to myself because she looks so damn irresistible.

"What's going on?" Tessa asks as she gives me a confused look.

"Nothing."

"Hardin, if we're going to give us a chance, you have to be honest with me."

"If I tell you what I'm thinking, it's just going to sound like a line."

"Tell me anyway."

"I was just thinking that I've never seen anyone as breathtaking as you."

Tessa blushes. "You're right. That does sound like a line." She giggles. "Can I tell you something?"

"Is it how irresistible you find me?" I smirk.

"No. You're only okay," she says with a smile.

"Ouch. My poor ego," I tease.

"Stop! I'm trying to be serious." She playfully swats at me.

"I'm sorry," I say as we finally stop in front of the frat house. "What did you want to tell me?"

"I really like it when you call me Tess."

"You do?"

"Yes." She nods. "And I like when you tuck my hair behind my ear. Your touch is so gentle and it gives me butterflies."

"You mean like this?" I gently tuck her hair behind her ear and lean in for another kiss when suddenly I hear Molly's dreadful voice.

"Hey, T-Tessa, it looks like you need a shower!" she shouts before tossing a bucket of water all over Tessa. "I warned you. Don't mess with me, little girl."
