Chp 2- U Didn't Have To-✨

Y/n's POV

-"Oh, yeah, it was no problem"-I say to him with a smile.

I walk away, to the counter to order my drink. -" Can I have a large Carmel/French vanilla iced latte and 2 cake pops please?"- I say to the cashier. -"yeah no problem, that will be $7.50."- he says back to me.

As I was trying to pull out my card to pay I see an arm out of the corner of my eye, reaching in front of me. I look up at the man I was just talking to giving the cashier money.

-"Here I'll pay for it since you helped me out today"- the man says.

-"Oh, you don't have to do that"- I say to him as the cashier takes the money from him.

-"oh please it's no problem, plus you helped me out today. So let me repay you, please?"- he looks at me and says with a smile.

-"fine"- I giggle and say back.

The cashier gave me my receipt and my wait number. My number was 3. I go and stand in the waiting line, which wasn't long at all. I smirked when I heard the man order the same thing as I did. So after he paid, he walked over and stood behind me.

-"hey do you wanna maybe sit and drink your coffee with me?"- he says to me

-" oh yeah, I mean you did pay for my drink and food after all. Plus I think that would be fun."- I say back

-"I'm Danny by the way"-

-"I'm y/n"-

-" hmm, y/n, that's a really pretty name, I like it."-

-" aww thank you"-

After a minute or two of talking, I hear my number get called. I walk up and grab my drink and food. I wait for Danny to get his so we can go and sit. After he gets his food too, we go and sit at a really pretty spot in the shop. It had lots of plants and a really pretty view of the city.

-"hey, Danny, thanks again for paying for my stuff"- I say to him.

-"Oh, no thank you for helping me, I had no idea what I was going to get from here."- he says laughing. -" This is good by the way, you have good taste."-

-"I know, isn't it, haha I love this drink, I get it all the time. But have you tried the cake pop yet"- I say taking a bite out of mine.

-"I haven't actually, here let me try it"- he says grabbing his cake pop and taking a bite. -" Oh, wow, this is really good"- he says with a big, big smile on his face.

-"well y/n, I want to get to know you, you seem very interesting, and I can tell you more about me too."-

"Ok well, I am 19 and I grew up in LA and I came here to Colorado (where Danny just moved to, too) for work and some college classes. I love to do art and work out. Playing Sports is something that I enjoy doing, I love them. I also just got this new job and they transferred me to the office out here so yeah. And well that's just a Lil bit about me soo, Yah. Now tell me about you, Danny"-

-"Oh alright well, I am 20 and I just moved to Colorado not too long ago from Arizona. I love to write in my free time and I like to watch anime. It's just something I find fun so yeah. And I also like to play games if my free time. I am a streamer/influencer you could say. But yah that's something is about me."- Danny says while we were looking at each other.

Danny looks so passionate about what he was talking about, it's kinda cute. I giggled when I thought about it. Then Danny looks up at me in a kinda confusing way. -"What, what's funny?"- he asked to me

-"what do you mean?"-

-"well you were just giggling about something, so what were you laughing at?"-

-" Oh it's nothing, really."-

-"No, you gotta tell me now, come on, just tell me."- Danny says in a curious but still playful way.

-"Fine, I'll tell you."- I say back to him, giving in. -"Ok well, when you were talking, you just looked so passionate about what you were talking about and what you like doing, and I thought it was cute, so I giggled, ok."-

-"Ohhh, so you think I'm cute?"-

I know he's teasing me. -" Danny that's not what I meant and you know it, but to be honest yeah I do think you're cute."- I say back to him somewhat in a cocky way. I don't think he expected me to say that.

"oh well, thank you, but if we're being honest I think you're the prettiest girl I've ever seen."-he says to me with the cutest smile.

"Awwww Danny thank you, that's so sweet."- I say while still looking at each other. Danny was so pretty. I never wanted to stop looking at him. he had these chocolate brown eyes and this cute little perky nose. his lips were small but yet still full.

After a while of Danny and I talking, I had completely forgotten I had work today. I checked my phone, I am supposed to be at the office by 8:30. It's 7:58. I'm going to be late if I don't leave right now. -" SHit, No!"-

-"What, what's wrong y/n?"-. Danny says, concerned.

-"I have to go, Danny I'm going to be late for work"- I say in a panicky way.

-" Hey, Hey, y/n it's going to be ok. I'll clean this up and you can go get to work. It's ok you'll make it y/n."- Danny says trying to calm me down.

-"Ok, thank you, Danny. I had an amazing time, I loved meeting you. And I had so much fun. And thank you again for everything.-" I say while going to hug him. I wrapped my arms around his neck, while he wrapped his around my waist. We stood hugging for a little while. His embrace was so warm and comforting.

We soon let each other go. -" y/n I had a lot of fun today too and it was no problem at all. But hey, you gotta go. And you'll make it on time I promise. Now Go."- he said while playfully pushing me towards the door, shooing you away.

-"Ok, Ok."- I say giggling. -" alright bye Danny, thank you."- I say giving him another short and brief hug.

-"Ok bye y/n"- Danny says back.

I walk out and go and get in my car. I start driving and play my favorite music. While driving to work I was thinking about Danny and all the things we talked about. Once I really got to thinking I remember. -"No, shit, damn it. I didn't get his number OR any of his socials. Damn it."- I say sad and irritated.

-"I hope to see you again Danny."-
