The celebration

The party was arranged in the backyard of their house.

Mrs Hwang took Yoonie to her room, combed her hair and did some finishing touch-ups because it was time for the party in their backyard.

Few minutes later, they went to the backyard. It was crowded by people and in the centre, something was placed which was almost like a stage.

On the stage like surface, stood a metallic royal-looking table.
On it, a five layered big cake, with few candles plugged onto it, was carefully placed.

The cake looked divine. The bottom-most layer was covered with a distinct pink-coloured cream; Conspicuously of strawberry flavour.

The layer immediately above it was of vanilla flavour with caramel syrup dripping from it.

The outer-surfaces of all the layers were well decorated with various fruits pressed onto it.

More colours and more flavours were there to talk about in the cake but the gracefulness of the top-most layer of it was show-stopping.
It was of chocolate flavour topped with grated white chocolate and brown choco chips. The chocolate syrup spread over it in zig-zag pattern added to the view.

On it, few words were written that read, "Happy Birthday Yoonie" and surrounding it, the candles were ablaze.

They went to the stage like thing where Mr Hwang already stood.

Standing on the stage, one could get a spectacular view of the crowd.
The whole backyard was decorated with lightings and pretty flower vases were placed on the centre of each and every table over there.

Talking about the left corner, stood a group of ladies with a filled glass.
Talking, chit-chatting to be more specific, with each other.
With every passing ten minutes, a round of laughter could be heard from there.

On the other hand, the right corner was filled with men, mostly in formal attire, with a glass of red wine, interacting with each other.

It was time for her to cut the cake. Mr and Mrs Hwang held the knife in their hands and told Yoonie to get a hold of their hands. As appropriate for the small child, still ineligible for holding a knife on her own.

So first of all Yoonie was asked to blow the candles out while everyone else was singing.

"Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to you dear Yoonie,
Happy Birthday to you~"

Then the cake was cut with her parents guiding her.

The moment all this was finished everyone's gaze was glued to the sky because beautiful fireworks started to fill the sky.

Yoonie was staggered at first but gradually she started to enjoy it.

Unlike everybody there, Yoonie's parents were not looking up at the sky.

Instead, they were looking at their daughter's smiling face. Her eyes were crinkled at the corners, her small teeth were visible because of the ear to ear grin she was having, her nose was cutely crunched which was the best view for her parents.

It was getting dark and cold so everyone went inside the house. Many people were sitting in the living room chatting with each other; giving gifts to the little girl. some of them were relatives even,
that they met years ago, some were long lost school friends and the most popular phrase exchanged between them was "Long time no see!".

This is how time was passing by. Some of them were greeting and leaving as it was late.

The really close one's are left who are invited for dinner.

It's dinner time already so everyone went to the dining table and the maids started serving.

As the centre of attention today is Yoonie, some people started to talk to her.
She slightly stiffened at the sudden attention given to her.

Mr Choi, a business client of Mr Hwang asked, "Hi little girl, how old are you now?"

"I'm four years old now."

One of their relatives inquired,
"Do you like fireworks Yoonie?"

"Yes, I really like fireworks." She replied making a cute face as all the ones present melted at her cute gesture. Yoonie giggled again.

After the dinner Mr and Mrs Hwang and the guests bade goodbyes to eachother and the guests left.

At last, Mr Shin and Siwoo also left. Both, Mr and Mrs Hwang, along with Yoonie, had insisted Mr Shin and Siwoo to stay tonight. Only after having breakfast tomorrow, they could leave but Mr Shin explained that they had to leave and that they would come again so the Hwang family had to agree.

It was a long tiring day so Yoonie and her parents were sleepy.

"Good night, Sweet dreams~", they told eachother in a sleepy tone and went to the same room for a long peaceful sleep.

Same room, as it was Yoonie's birthday and her parents were ready to give her every bit of happiness one could possibly want,
be it cuddling and sleeping in Mom and Dad's embrace for the warmth and joy of it, instead of having the little one sleep alone in their room
and only having a grand party on the occasion of one's birthday.

They were ready to just give it all.

Just for the simple feeling of happiness and contentment.

Soon enough, the three snuggled into the bed. Mr Hwang on the left, Mrs Hwang on the right with Yoonie in between.

He kept his arm on the back of Yoonie's right shoulder, while she wrapped her arms around Yoonie's waist, engulfing the little girl in their embrace.

Yoonie's lips curved into a slight sleepy smile as she closed her eyes.

The three of them felt each other's warmth.

Slowly and steadily, their breaths synchronised.

Their heartbeats slowed down followed by an calm state of mind.

Gradually, they fell asleep.

The moment was not to be described in words but by the feels. This simple feeling of  comfort and intimacy that came from the warmth of the person one loves and cares for is truly indescribable.

This was something what most of the people would crave for...
