When Mandy emerged back into the camp, she was freshly cleaned and ready to get the kills processed. She followed her nose to where the animals were waiting for her. When she got there, Tae was bouncing around. "I'm the butcher for the pack; if you need help, I'd love to."

She narrowed her eyes at him, "Is this some weird ass way of trying to impress Kris? Because I'll be honest, I doubt she'll even remember it after her heat is over."

He deflated a bit, letting her know that was, in fact, what he wanted. But then he bounced a bit more, "That's fine, but it'll be faster if we work together. Jin already took the other deer and should have stew ready soon. You guys are welcome to eat that."

Mandy was so confused. Yes, they offered earlier, but she didn't think that it was real. Were they really going to feed them? She did provide two very large animals, so maybe that's why. "Are you sure it's okay? There are three of us."

"More than okay, Jin loves to cook, so this is like Christmas for him. You took down this massive thing all by yourself?"

She glared at him, "Why, you think I can't hunt and provide for my pack because I'm a girl?"

Tae's hands waved in front of him, "No, no, that's not even, not even Jiminie has brought home this big of a deer before. Like we could have ridden this damn thing, it's so massive."

"Oh," she started to smile. "Do you have a blacksmith here? If we save the antlers, then they can be used as knife handles. I made one myself years ago. I still have it. It took forever to make the blade part since I didn't have any blacksmith tools, but I did okay, I think."

"Oh, did you not have a blacksmith in your last pack?"

She froze up a bit, "oh, we did."

He assumed she would say more, but she didn't. "Then why?"

Her sigh sounded a lot like Jin's when he was annoyed. "I was banished from my pack when I presented as an Alpha; they killed my family because of it. But they wanted to keep me close just in case the Head Alpha's son presented as an Alpha; he wanted me to mate with his son. The day we ran was the day that they came for me. They also wanted to take Kat and Kris and force them to be his playthings. I could have handled the baby Alpha, but there was no way I would let them take those two."

"They, what? They wanted this newly presented Alpha to mate with an Alpha, a Beta, and an Omega. And against their will? I seriously hate wolves sometimes."

"Yeah, same; I've been alone for eight years until those two crashed into my den while Kris was in heat. I figured they'd leave and return to the village right after, but I guess it wasn't safe for them either. I'm surprised that they didn't come for them sooner. They must have known where they were, yet no one had visited until they came to take me."

Tae was seething pissed. He never thought he'd hate a Head Alpha more than he could hate his old Head Alpha, but he's been proven wrong. There was a Head out there that was worse than his old one. "God damnit, Kris, Mandy is going to kill me," they both heard Kat yelling.

"Don't care," Kris huffed as she stormed over to the two finishing up; she wrinkled up her nose a bit, "Gross."

Mandy snorted, and Tae seemed a bit distressed as he scrambled to clean up the area. "Well, you need food; this is how we get food."

"I know that, but seeing it up close is different. This is why I make the traps." Kat ran up behind her and started to tattle. Kris squealed and smacked her hand over her mouth. "Alpha," she cooed as she batted her eyelashes and spiked her scent a bit.

Mandy rolled her eyes, "what do you want?"

"A fucking bath, I feel gross, and I know here soon I won't be able to leave the cabin. Kat thinks it's a bad idea, but I'll be safe if you go with me."

When Kat bit her, Kris shrieked, "I think it's a bad idea because none of us are in the best shape. We haven't eaten in days, and you are worried about being dirty."

"Says the person that got knotted AND cleaned."

"She's right, you know. We got cleaned up." Mandy turned to look at Tae. "If I take her to get clean, will she be safe?"

"Yes, of course. There are rogues, but they don't usually get too close. I can come too to make sure. I know I'm an Omega, but I'm strong, I promise."

Kris raised her eyebrow a bit, "you want to watch me bathe?"

"Well, yes, you are my mate, so that sounds like a fantastic time to me. But not yet, not until you want me as much as I want you." He grinned at them with the silliest boxy smile they had ever seen. "But I won't look; I'll just keep watch, another set of eyes."

Everyone looked at Kris; this was ultimately her decision since she was sound of mind. "Fine, but if you look. I'm giving her," as she waved her hand towards the Alpha, "permission to beat your ass. Don't let how tiny she is, fool you, she's scrappy and feisty as fuck."

"Noted. Wait here, and I'll be right back." Tae turned around and ran to his cabin, grabbing some clothes for Kris, soap, and a small towel that he had crocheted after Kook and Hobi taught him. It was terrible compared to theirs, but he wanted her to use it. He carried it back and handed her the basket, "Here for you to use."

"Uhh, thanks." Then she turned around wide-eyed at Mandy, "Let's go, please." Her eyes were screaming get me out of here before I freak the fuck out. And as much as Mandy loved seeing her all flustered, she gave in.
