S K Y L E R"Are you blind?" I frowned at the girl who blocked my way.
"You asked for notes right?" The redhead asked.
"You weren't so eager to hand me your notes earlier, what changed?" I crossed my arms across my chest.
"I'm sorry about earlier, I was in a really bad mood." She looked apolitically.
"Oh please," I rolled my eyes. "You realized I was the queen bee of this school and because I'm in a difficult situation right now, you're trying to get in my good books. Just so you kn-"
"Dude!" She interrupted. "Do you want the notes or not?" She frowned.
"I'm only taking this because I have no choice. You aren't even on my level socially and I wouldn't be caught dead talking to you on a reg-"
"Sorry to burst your bubble little miss queen bee, you're an outcast now. I'm committing social suicide right now by talking to you but you don't see me putting it in your face. If you're going to be condescending then get your notes somewhere else." She thundered and walked away.
I watched her ponytail swing as she walked away from me. How dare she?
With a sigh, I moved to my locker where I found Lana and Audrey waiting for me.
"You're obsessed with me and it shows. What do you want?"
"You're going to be my slave the whole of tomorrow. Get ready." Lana ordered and I scoffed.
"You must be delusional. I'm not going to be your slave, you already have Audrey doing that." I eyed Audrey.
Her lips twisted into a snarl, "You can't refuse me. You're a nobody now!" She seethed.
I crossed my arm across my chest, "You're so pathetic." I slammed my locker shut and walked away.
I made my way to the main entrance and saw mr stalker kicking a stone with his foot.
Shit! I totally forgot this creep said he'd wait for me.
When I noticed him, I paused and tried to retract my steps so he wouldn't notice me. Just as I took a step back, he saw me.
"Hey, pretty girl!" His face lit up but I instantly scowled.
"Isn't it obvious that I'm trying to get away from you?"
"That's mean. I waited for you." He slumped his shoulders.
"This is stalking."
"Should we leave?"
"No, my siblings and I leave school together." I clutched onto the strap of my bag.
"Bummer. I'll see you at home then." He smiled at me before he started walking away.
On a second thought, it would do me good to walk so they can get a little bit worried about me.
I took out my phone and sent a text to Crystal before shoving it in my pocket.
"Hey, wait up." I called as I jogged to meet up with him.
"That was quick. How come you changed your mind?" His bottom lip twitched.
"Don't get any ideas. I'm only here because I'm trying to rebel against my mom." I corrected him.
"Why do you feel the need to rebel?"
"My mo-." I realized who I was talking to and paused. "Why do you care?" I rolled my eyes and tried to cross the road without thinking.
"Watch where you're going!" He pulled me back to the sidewalk.
My eyes widened in shock and heart rate quickened as I saw a black car drive past me with speed.
Oh my god! I almost died.
"Why didn't you watch where you were going?! The light was green! We were supposed to wait!" He scolded me.
"Don't yell at me!"
"I'm sorry! It's just that traffic lights give me anxiety. I'm always extremely careful." He took a deep breath.
We walked in silence to the house and just as I was about to go in, I noticed there was a lock on the gate.
"What is this?" I muttered to myself as I held up the lock.
Is nobody at home? They took the car, they should be here by now.
I took out my phone and I saw a message from Crystal.
We had to stop at the supermarket to pick up mom, we might take a while.
Today of all days my mom decided to visit the supermarket!
"There's no one home?" He poked his head in front of me.
"Isn't it obvious?" I frowned as I shook the padlock in front of him.
"The sun is quite hot, do you want to wait over at my place?" He lifted his brow.
"No thank you, I'd rather wait." I declined.
"Suit yourself. If you do get tired of standing then you can come over." He shrugged as he left.
I circled around the gate for a while before deciding to call crystal.
"Where are you guys?" I thundered immediately the call connected.
"Still at the supermarket. Moms taking forever so we will be here for a while."
Ugh!
I glanced over at the house next to mine and groaned in frustration.
Do I go? If I do, my ego would be bruised.
But the sun is hot and I'm tired of standing.
With a sigh, I walked over to the house next door.
After ringing the doorbell twice, the guy emerged in a white polo.
"You said you preferred to wait so what happened?" He smirked.
"My sister just called to say they would take a while." I sighed as I rolled my eyes.
"Come in." He stepped aside and pushed the door wide open.
A small four corner living room with just the basics. A tv, a coffee table and a bunch of chairs.
My eyes toured the house as he directed me to the grey colored couch to sit.
"Do you want something to drink? Or are you hungry?."
"I'm fine." I took out my phone and opened Instagram.
While he was in the kitchen, the doorbell rang before I heard keys jingle and I jumped up from my seat.
"Someone's trying to break in!" I yelled and ran to him.
"No relax, it's just one of my roommates." He chuckled.
Just one? Then there's more than that?
A young guy waltzed into the house with a bag on his back. Looking closely, he seemed really familiar but I couldn't remember.
"Mase? Lili?" The guy with a familiar voice called.
"In the kitchen!" He yelled.
Is his name Mase?
"What's f-" The guy paused and scowled immediately he saw me. "What are you doing here?!" He thundered.
Me? Does he know me?
"Excuse you?" I scoffed.
"You don't remember me? You and your boyfriend got me fired!" He snapped.
Oh! Now I see why he looked familiar!
"Almond?"
