S K Y L E R"So glad you decided to join us, Miss Richmond." Mr Samson announced as I entered history class.
"I know you are." I replied before scanning the filled classroom for a rather familiar face. I spot Audrey at the back, waving her hand to get my attention.
I smile and make my way to the back and sat down on the empty chair beside her.
"Sky." She greeted.
"Audrey." I reply with a smile.
Audrey is my shadow. She does everything I tell her to and doesn't do anything without informing me first. She has auburn color hair and big brown eyes. She has a twin brother, Aubrey.
Immediately the bell went off and I groaned out of frustration. If I had known that there were only less than ten minutes left for the class, I would have skipped it.
Audrey and I were about to make our way out of the class but Mr Samson cleared his throat, stopping us.
"Miss Richmond, your nonchalant attitude to my class needs to end. You have finals coming up and if your attendance doesn't go up-"
"You need to stop caring." I will graduate with or without attending your classes.
"I will report this to the principal." He threatened and I chuckled.
"Do what you want, she won't say anything to me unless she wants to lose my dad's generous donations."
"Get out!"
"I was going to and the next time you stop me, I'll make you regret it." I grabbed Audrey's hand and let her out of the history classroom.
"That was so cool!" Audrey exclaimed, clutching her history book to her chest.
"I know," I smile. "Where is Lana?" I ask and asked if on cue I spot Lana walking towards us.
"Hey guys!" Lana greeted tugging a loose strand of her honey brown hair behind her ear.
"Hey!" Audrey and I say simultaneously.
"So we all have English?" Lana asked looking at a piece of paper which I think is her class schedule.
"Yep. Let's go." I walked in front while Lana and Audrey followed behind me like rats. One word for how how I felt and it'd be powerful.
The rest classes flew by and before I knew it, it was time for lunch. Lunch at Kingston High is the best place to humiliate someone, show off your money or popularity or even both.
The cafeteria was spacious, with circular tables scattered everywhere. These seats are for the not popular people also known as the less privileged.
Don't get me wrong not just anybody can school here except maybe by scholarship but obviously some of the kids here are middle class, their parents work for rich people and they don't own their own companies.
To the end of the cafeteria held a little staircase, the staircase led up to a little space which also had circular tables with chairs around them. But deep down I know that it's better than the normal one because from there you get a good view of the cafeteria. Now this table is where I belonged, it was strictly for us rich folks, here you find, daughters and sons of models, governors, basically rich people.
I went over to sit at my favorite spot, while Lana and Audrey went to get my food. I was greeted by Quinn who gave me a hug when she saw me.
"Don't squeeze her too tight." A husky voice said, my eyes darted to William, who is not my boyfriend, but everyone assumes he is. He's merely a friend with benefits.
"Will!" I smile and give him a hug.
"Sky, the holiday did you good." He whispered in my ear.
"Thank you, you don't look bad yourself." I whisper back before pulling away.
"Food's here!" Audrey announced as she dropped a tray in front of me and slid in next to me.
Fries, ketchup and a bottle of water was placed in front of me. Although i had fries this morning, my body wanted more. I didn't waste time before I started digging in.
In between my fries, I felt a hand running through my lap. I looked over at Will and saw him smirking.
"Get a room you two!" Aubrey said sliding in next to William.
Will hit him on the head and I laughed. Aubrey isn't exactly different from Audrey, the only difference is that Audrey has boobs, while Aubrey doesn't.
"Psst Sky look at that." Lana pointed at a girl with black hair who glaring at me from the lower cafeteria. When I the glare she lowered her eyes.
"These guys never learn."
"Girls, I think our little friend wants to have lunch with us." I smirk deviously and so did Lana and Audrey who knew what they had to do next.
The girls forced the girl to our table made her stand in front of me. Her glare turned into fright and trembles.
"So you like to glare, huh?" I scoffed loudly attracting the attention from the cafeteria.
"N-no, i-i-"
"You lost your confidence all of a sudden?"
"I think we should help her get her voice back." Lana suggested.
"Good idea, Audrey what can help her with her voice?"
"I hear milk is good for the vocal cords." Audrey laughs.
I examined my table before grabbing a small carton of yogurt and poured it all over her hair, erupting in gasps from the people all around.
I grabbed a soda, "Lana, do you want to do the honors?"
Lana took the drink from me and sprayed it all over her uniform with a devious smirk.
"For the grand finale, What is the specials today?"
"Let's show her," Audrey commented and took Aubrey's plate of fries and ketchup and threw everything on the plate at her.
"That'll teach you your place." I warned.
Everyone in the upward cafeteria laughed. While the girl slowly walked but coincidently my leg was stretched out, causing her to tumble down the stairs.
The stairs weren't much, there were like only four steps or so. My math is pretty bad. Two other girls went to help her off the floor and took her outside.
Everyone lowered their gaze when my eyes met theirs. Power is necessary. Ruling your highschool is more than necessary.
I dusted invisible dirt from my short skirt then grabbed my bottle of water.
I've lost my appetite.
