Continuation of Chapter 45 || PART ONE

His face becomes pale instantly and his eyes reflect disappointment , sadness and confusion.

Nathi : "You don't want to?" He asked standing up.

Me : "Nathi we still young , I'm still tryna adjust to my life. Get my degree and I still have to deal with my issues."

Nathi : "And what's gonna stop you from doing all that when we married?" I sigh.

Me : "Please take me home." He nods and holds my hand walking out with me. He still made sure to get my door and that I was comfortable then went to his side and we drove off.

Mom : "Y'all back early?!" She exclaimed not hiding her shock when she saw us entering.

Nathi : "uhm mah , thank you so much for borrowing me your daughter. I'll take my leave."

Mom : "Wait , tell me ... how did it go?"

Nathi : "She said no." He says shrugging , mom shoots me a stare before standing up and hugging Nathi then they break off their hug , Nathi's eyes were red. He bid goodbye and left.

Mom : "Hhayi !" She said shaking her head and clapping her hands once , then walked off.

I was busy pressing my phone , I had been awake for sometime now. A faint knock comes through then the door opens , my daughter stumbles her way in.

Me : "Close the door Nkazi." She smiles and pushes it ; she now understands a few words and can speak a few of them.

Me : "Good morning pretty face." She smiles and lifts her arms for me to pick her up. I help her to the bed.

Nkazi : "mon mamam." I chuckle and kiss her face then tickle her as she giggles screaming.

Nkazi : "ma..m.a" I stop tickling her and just hold her in my arms. A while later Nkazi falls asleep after crying her eyes out wanting her father. I take my phone and find missed calls from an unknown number. I call it back and ,

Me : "Hello?"

Person : "I thought I was about to die! Do you know boring it gets when you have no friends and when you think you've actually found one then they don't answer your calls?! Hhayi Amyoli."

Me : *Clears thraot*

Person : "Sorry , it's me Aphiwe!" She says sounding shy and I laugh.

Me : "Oh hey baby."

Aphiwe : "Can we go out today for the whole day if you are available?"

Me : "Of course , I really need to go out today. You'll send me the location then!."

Aphiwe : "Sharp! Lemme get ready."

We were in The Oyster Box Hotel , in the Grill House. We hugged and sat down.

Aphiwe : "I missed you." I smile.

Me : "I did too. I'm famished." I say as a waiter places menus infront of us.

Aphiwe : "You read my mind." We placed our order and waited while we were given Corn & Feta Dip that came with tortillas to munch on while we waited.

Aphiwe : "Why didn't you bring Nkazi?"

Me : "She's exhausts me since she's in her Todd years!"

Aphiwe : "Oh yeah , understandable and you look so beautiful and not so pregnant." I roll my eyes smiling. The waiter places our food on the table then walks off.

Me : "Stop playing me! I need advice." I say burying my face in my hands.

Aphiwe : "Wassup?"

Me : "So last night , my boyfriend ; Nkazi's father took me out to this beautiful restaurant...." I explain to her everything of last night.

Aphiwe : "So why did you turn down his proposal of you love him?"

Me : "Nothing scares me more than commitment Phiwe. I'm really scared of committing myself to someone."

Aphiwe : "Have you talked to him and told him this?"

Me : "no" I shake my head.

Aphiwe : "I suggest you go now , prepare his favorite dish ; sit him down and tell him everything."

Me : "Okay. Thank you."

Aphiwe : "That's what friends are for!"

Me : "How are your parents?"

Aphiwe : "Argh! They've been pestering me about not having a life."
