The man remained in his position. I did not know what had happened. I still had remnants of the threads on my fingers. When a gust of wind came, the man collapsed. There was blood everywhere and it had gotten on me. The man had been completely dismembered. *W-what the hell was that?* I looked at my hands in shock. *I-I killed...someone!* I became more and more panicked and burst into tears. I killed a human. 'I'm so sorry' I kept showing. *What am I going to do now? I can't possibly go home like this* I began to think.

I had found some old clothes and put them on. I knew from experience that blood stains didn't come out so I had to get rid of the clothes. The man had a lighter with him so I put them in a garbage can and burned them. At home I would just say that I had been bullied and the perpetrators had burned them. *I have to get this under control* I thought and went home. They say behind every curse is a blessing. When I got home, I don't think I could hide my agitation very well.

Ichigo Pov

"Well wait, if I catch them. I'll beat the crap out of them" "Please calm down Ichigo" "Pops you can't be serious. Look at what they did to Tessa! Next time they might do much worse" I argued with my father. When Tessa came home I got a shock. She had old torn clothes and was injured. She seemed extremely restless and agitated. Her tear marks could still be seen. Rukia and Karin sat next to her and comforted her. She looked like she did on the first day. Broken and closed! 'You can't change it anymore' she pointed out and looked at the floor. 'I couldn't see them. A statement would be useless' she continued. I growled in response. 'Do what you want' I ran to my room.

After a while Rukia came into the room. "I talked to Tessa but she shut down. Ichigo...I think you should go to her" she spoke softly. "I don't know Rukia. I don't know how to act. She's only been my sister for a short time" I whispered thoughtfully. "Ichigo" I heard Rukia say. I heard a knock and a little later Tessa came into the room. 'May I join you?" she asked and I immediately made room. 'Do you need anything?" I asked quietly. 'I just don't want to be alone' she closed her eyes and leaned against me. She just needs someone she trusts near her I thought.

Tessa Pov

Isshin had excused me from school for a week and I was already practicing all day. Ichigo did not want to leave me alone at first and Rukia behaved differently. With Rukia it had to be however another reason than with Ichigo. I had learned that the threads could become soft but also hard and sharp. I could also detect the length. Everything that could be seen, they could detect. But how should I continue now? I needed someone to teach me.

"Tessa, may I interrupt for a moment?" came Rukia into the room. Already by her look she could guess what it was about. ~You want to go, don't you?~ I asked. "I'm sorry but it's safer for everyone this way" she defended herself. ~Please take care of yourself. Promise me~ "Tessa I..." ~Promise me~ I angrily showed her the note. "I promise" she smiled sadly. "Would you please give the letter to Ichigo? I locked Kon in the bathroom. Please leave him there" she asked me and I walked closer to her. I just took her in my arms. "You can't talk, but still you convey a thousand words" she said happier than before. "I made you a promise. And I'm keeping it now" she added and separated from me. "My gift is by far the best" she said laughing and handed it to me. It was a scarf in orange with a brooch in the shape of a lion's head. ~You didn't let me down~ I wrote and gave her another hug.
