Chapter 8

It was around 3:30 AM when Oswald snuck out of Dream Castle and made his way across the castle. Where was he going at this early in the morning?

Thankfully, nobody spotted him. He managed to make his way towards the Darkside. He looked both ways before walking around the barrier, hoping that no one would see him.

The rabbit seemed to be looking for someone, or something. After walking around the barrier and making it towards the edge of the island, he looked down.

There was something truly shocking. There was a hole in the barrier!! Oswald suddenly crouched down and crawled through the hole, arriving in the Darkside...

He looked around, and began walking again. All of the Disney Villains could be seen, talking to eachother, and doing their normal stuff.

The Darkside was more creepier, and dark than the Goodside. Villains roamed the area, not seeing the rabbit just yet. Oswald suddenly ran into The Evil Queen, who was talking with Gothel.

"Well well. Look who it is. The Lucky Rabbit who gets to spend all of his time in the Goodside, with that stupid mouse." The Evil Queen said. Oswald crossed his arms.

"Oh, be quiet Queenie. And dont call me lucky, either!" He said. "Well someone's in a bad mood." Gothel said, taking a sip of some water she was holding.

Oswald just rolled his eyes. "So, did you get any information?" Gothel asked. "About what?" Oswald asked, looking back up at the villains. "You know. Mickey, the princesses, the child, etc." The Evil Queen said.

Oswald sighed, thinking. "Well... I'm pretty sure you guys, or at least Maleficent has met her before, but do you remember a girl named Lilly Davis?" He asked.

The two villains thought for a moment. Gothel has actually met Lilly, but The Evil Queen has only heard about her. "Yeah, I know her. She became one of the most powerful mages, right?" Gothel asked.

Oswald nodded, and was still kind of surprised how a little girl who was exactly like Wendi ended up being so brave and powerful.

That made him wonder if Wendi would ever become that powerful. Though, he couldn't feel any magical power coming from her. You see, the citizens of the Goodside were able to detect the amount of magic someone had, by just looking at them.

For example, if Oswald walked up to the Fairy Godmother and studied her for a long time, the magic that was in the DisneyVerse basically told him how strong the Fairy Godmother was.

And since he was with Wendi all day, he wanted to see if she had any magic. Unfortunately, the child doesn't. Oswald has a soft spot for Wendi, and he honestly feels bad for her.

"Yeah. Well, it turns out she had a kid.. and that kid happens to be the little girl from Earth." Oswald said.

Immediately, Gothel spit out the water she was drinking in shock. "What!?!?" She asked. "How though?? Shes so tiny and weak!" The Evil Queen said.

"According to Mickey and some other guys who knew Lilly, Lilly was the same way when she was a child." Oswald said, crossing his arms.

"Wow.. no wonder Mal wants that kid so badly.. she must have a ton of magic then!" Gothel said, smiling for once. Oswald looked down. "Actually, I was able to see how much magical power she has, and.. i couldn't find anything. She's completely helpless." Oswald said.

"Oh, please. Its probably a mistake or something, since she isnt supposed to even be here. Mal will check once she gets her." The Evil Queen said.

Oswald furrowed his eye brows. "Hey. Just so you know, Mickey loves that kid with all his heart. He will NOT let anyone touch her. I know that. Maleficent will never get her hands on Wendi." He assured them.

"Hm.. but dont you hate Mickey though? You told us that you despised him for taking your spot as Mascot for Disney, making everyone forget about you?" The Evil Queen asked.

Oswald frowned a bit, lowering his arms. Yes, he may have said that, but that was a long time ago. Oswald was still very, very angry at his brother, but he didn't hate him anymore.

He was just extremely jealous of him. He sighed. "Yeah... y-you're right.." he said, sighing. The two villains smirked. "What's going on?" Asked a voice.

Gothel and The Evil Queen turned around to see Maleficent. "Oswald has come back with his weekly reports. He says that the kid is related to Lilly Davis." The Evil Queen said.

Maleficent's eyes widened, and she smiled. "Really..? Well then, now I know for sure that she has magic. I want her now." She said.

Oswald got a bit nervous. He didn't want anything bad to happen to Wendi. "How, though? In case you haven't noticed, Mickey recreated the barrier." Gothel said.

"Well, can't Oswald just break it again?" Maleficent asked. So... Oswald was the one who destroyed the barrier?

"No.. Mickey has made it stronger than ever. Besides, I don't want you to have Wendi!" He said. "Why not?" Maleficent asked.

"Because shes just a child. Shes gone through so much already, and i dont want anything bad to happen to her again. Besides, Mickey loves her, and I don't want him to be sad if Wendi got taken away." Oswald explained.

Maleficent crossed her arms, annoyed. "But don't you hate Mickey?" She asked. "No! I'm just very angry at him. And jealous.." Oswald said, looking the other way.

Maleficent used the end of her staff to turn Oswald's head towards her. "In case you have forgotten, we made a deal. You work as a spy for us, and we don't tell Mickey the truth." She said.

"Okay, but what does that have to do with anything?" Oswald asked. "I want you to bring me the child yourself. If you don't, then I will use my magic to destroy the Goodside." Maleficent said.

Oswald frowned. He didn't want any of his friends, or home getting hurt and destroyed. But then he glared at her. "And how do you plan on doing that? Your magic can't leave the barrier, and there's only 10% left of it anyway!" He exclaimed.

"Remember that hole you use to come in? I wont fit, but there are some other villains who can. And, I can even put my staff through the hole, and use my magic there." Maleficent said.

Oswald frowned again. He looked down, thinking of what to do. This may have been the toughest decision of his life. Wendi meant everything to Mickey, and he didn't want to see the child get hurt.

But, Maleficent could tell Mickey the truth about Oswald being a spy for the Darkside, and destroy the Goodside as well, which would break Mickey's heart.

He knew how much Mickey cared for him, and Oswald cared about Mickey as well, despite being angry and jealous of him. He didn't know what to do. It was a very tough choice between losing Wendi, or losing Mickey and the Goodside.

After a while of debating, he finally decided. "Alright, then... I'll go get Wendi for you." He sighed. Maleficent smiled and patted his head. "Good. I'll be waiting." She said before leaving.

Oswald sighed. "Wait. You're not gonna hurt her, are you?" He asked. Maleficent turned back around. "No. I won't." She replied. Oswald was a bit suspicious at first, but sighed and nodded. "Alright..." he said before leaving.

He made his way to the hole, regretting this decision he made. He honestly didn't believe Maleficent at all, but this was the only choice he had. 'I'm so sorry, kid... and Mickey.' He thinks.

He arrived at the hole, and crawled back through. Once he stood up, he ran all the way back towards Dream Castle to get Wendi.
