To your surprise, Ted asked you to coffee again the next week. You payed this time, of course. And the next week he did. And so this became routine. Eventually you just started waiting for him by the door, and he'd apologize if he took longer than usual.
But this Friday was President's Day, which meant no work. So you're surprised to see that today Ted was waiting for you by reception as you leave.
"Hey, I was waiting for you. Do you have a moment?"
"Sure."
"So, uh, no coffee tomorrow, huh?"
"Guess not," you try not to sound too disappointed.
"I've really enjoyed getting to know you better these past few weeks. I really like talking to you." His eyes begin to dart nervously, trying to look at anything but you. "I was hoping that maybe you might want to get to know each other even better. Maybe on Saturday?"
It takes a second for you to process the question. This wasn't just an after work coffee. He wants to see you on a weekend. You could feel you're face heat up as he waits for an answer.
"It's okay if you don't want to. Don't feel like you have to..."
"No, no, no," you interrupt, "I want to go!"
