'What the hell just happened?' was the only thought that you could think of as you woke up on the ground. Your mind was still fragmented, clearly indicating you were still in shock. You do your best to slow your thoughts, doing what you can to recall what had just transpired. You were in Lumiose, just having a relaxing time. As much as you would hate to admit it- you were happy taking a day off adventuring, as it was nice to just chill out with your friends. Serena and Bonnie had gone off to look at some clothes, the latter girl taking a majority of yours and Clemont's Pokémon as she intended to dress them up, leaving you two with only Pikachu and Chespin. Then, something happened. A terrible gargled screech paired with the sounds of hundreds if not thousands of screams was all you could remember hearing. At first, you thought it was a tsunami, but typically tsunamis don't occur near Kalos- and even if one ever did... you were fairly certain that they weren't supposed to be black, glitchy waves of death that rained millions of distorted creatures from the heavens.
It all happened so fast. You grabbed Clemont's hand with the intention to flee. You weren't sure where to run but your legs had just started moving. Pikachu was still on your shoulder, holding on for dear life. Chespin had been grabbed by Clemonts Aipom arm, as he had escaped his Pokeball as soon as the mass screaming had begun. You ran for what seemed like an eternity, being chased by what seemed to have been the corrupted inhabitants that previously were Pokémon and people, as well as whatever other ungodly abominations the Wave of Death had released. It was then you saw something. It was a large beaming light. Maybe it was just a hallucination brought upon by the adrenaline, but you had no other alternatives. With no other chance for survival, you, Pikachu, Clemont, and Chespin dove headfirst into the gleaming crack in reality.
Darkness. Darkness was the second thing you saw when you entered that rupture in the universe. The first, and more important thing you took note of however was the same blinding light. You were in some kind of tunnel, with what was left of your entourage right with you. They weren't the only ones, however. You could hear the distorted grunts of the same monstrosities right behind you. They had followed you. The light started to dim. It was closing, and you knew you weren't going to make it. It was then that Chespin was flung at an incredible speed through the other side of the worm hole. You look back to the blonde-haired scientist, him now grabbing Pikachu with his aipom arm- hurling him to safety. It was then, at that very moment... he let go of your hand.
"I'm sorry, Ash." Was all he could mutter as you felt a large pain take over your back as the large robot hand shoved you forward, your flailing body flying towards the exit. The last thing you could see as you looked back was the black wave covering his body.
You take a deep breath in, your memories seemingly having caught up. You come to the conclusion that you must've been knocked out when landing from Clemont's aipom shove. The dirt under the grass was by no means soft, - but it was better than landing on concrete. You looked behind you, but there was no portal there anymore, just the lower part of a cliff. It was there, after staring at the blank rocky texture of the cliff face that reality had finally struck. Misty, Serena, Brock, May, Dawn, Max, Iris, Cilan, Clemont, any of your Pokémon or people you had met... Even your own mother... are long gone. You feel a tear exit your eye and run down your cheek. Everyone you had ever loved was dead.
"Pika!"
Your neck snaps as you quickly turn your head around, your best friend jumping into your arms- nuzzling you dearly. You hug him for what seemed like an eternity.
"Ches-pin!"
You look down to see Clemonts Grass Pokémon climbing up your leg. You fall to the ground, warmly embracing both Pokémon. You feel their faces start to moisten as tears start flowing. You also begin to cry, holding the two ever closer. You had to have wept for what seemed like hours, just staying close together, until you all finally just passed out.
You awoke a second time, slowly getting up as to not wake the only two people you had left. You reach for your Kalos Pokédex, with the intent to double check if you were near some type of civilization. You heavily suspect you are not on Earth, given by the fact that if this was the same planet, the Black Wave of Death would have reached this land mass by now. This theory was aided further given the fact you had no internet. This was all but proven by the fact the planet had three suns. Maybe you didn't need a lack of internet connection to pick up on that. With nothing else to do, you take a proper look at your surroundings. The area had a decent amount of foliage, with several large tree's standing tall right in front of you. The green itself had a yellowish tinge do it, which made sense. It was fairly hot when you got up the first time, although since the suns had started to set- the temperature had started to decrease. Given the fact it would get dark soon, you figured you'd do what you had always done. You'd start a fire. Quietly, you moved over to Chespin and Pikachu.
"Hey, guys..." You said softly, gently tapping both Pokémon.
"It's getting dark. We should try to get some shelter, and we need to start a fire." You state, trying to keep yours and their minds distracted from the horrors of what had occurred several hours earlier.
Without hesitation, both Pokémon got up and started to gather small sticks and rocks to prepare the fire. Maybe they didn't want to think about what had happened either. You look to your right. Several meters from your current location, you take note of the small cave within the cliff that sat slightly adjacent to the wall that poked out behind you.
"Alright, we'll..."
Your mind trails off.
"We'll set up in there."

The three of you sat silently, no one saying a word. The only sounds came from the crackling sound of the fire that had been echoing throughout the small cavern. The three of you had moved some boulders outside over the entrance to ensure that nothing got in, although at this point you hadn't seen any other wildlife. The mood was depressing to say the least. Pikachu laid quietly in your lap whilst Chespin had propped his head on your crossed legs. You yourself had rested your back comfortably on the inner walls of the cave, well as comfortably as leaning on a cold, jagged rock formation can be. You rub your eyes, quickly realizing that your animal friends had nodded off. You felt terrible and confused. Not only had the world just ended, but it was so abrupt. You still had no idea what had actually happened. With the snap of a finger- everyone you'd ever known had vanished in an instant. But with all of that, by some miracle, you were alive- which meant there had to be some level of hope. There had to be reason for why a wormhole to another planet suddenly opened to save your life. You'd worry about it later. You were exhausted. Tomorrow's another day. A day where you can start to properly analyze what the hell just happened. A day in which you'll spend the rest of your time with your two Pokémon. A day where hopefully the Tsunami of Death wouldn't return, consuming you and what little friends you still have.
"Another day..." You think to yourself.
"Another day..."
