First Signs

I flutter my eyes open.

'What a nice nap'

The last thing I remember is... listening to my favorite song I guess. Weird. I don't remember using my phone yesterday.

'Brains are weird' I thought, shrugging it off.

It'd been months since I had a good night's sleep.

No stress, no cold wind, no annoying neighbors-

WHERE ARE MY NEIGHBORS

I quickly sit up and notice I'm not in my apartment. I was about to freak out, until I remembered I was still in the daycare.

'I don't think Sun showed me this part of the daycare.'

I got out of bed and decided to explore a bit. The room was half and half. The half I was standing in was sun themed, while across from me was moon themed.

The ceiling had glow in the dark stars and some clouds hanging from the ceiling. This place was absolutely amazing! I would kiss the person who designed this place.

My eyes scanned the room, then stopped once I spotted a very familiar piece of paper on the wall. It was the drawing I made for Sun! Around it were even more drawings of him made by the kids. There was too many to count.

I walked over to Moon's side to see what pictures he had. But he had... nothing. Well, except for one. But it was made by Sun. His signature is on it. I study the drawing, then realized something. Moon's eyes were...blue. That's weird. Aren't his eyes red?

I looked at the top right corner and see the date was written on it. It was made 8 months ago. I decide to stop focusing on some random drawing, and look around some more.

I glance around the room, looking for something interesting. Then I see two long, red curtains. I open them up to reveal...

A platform. It was kinda cool seeing the daycare from this angle. I slowly walk closer to edge out of curiosity.

I think I almost threw up. It was SO high up. Even with the ball pit at the bottom, I would still definitely die. Or at least break a few bones.

"Y/n!"

I got so startled by the sudden and loud voice, I slipped off the edge. Man I really am an idiot.

I closed my my eyes, waiting for the immense pain, but it never came.

I slowly open my eyes and see that Sun is holding me protectively. I become relieved, but that quickly goes away when I don't feel the underneath me. I look down and see I'm...

HOLY SHIT I'M FLYING

I quickly wrap my arms around Sun as tight as possible.

"SUN WHY AM I FLYING?!"

He chuckles at my response and brings me closer to him, hoping it will calm me down. After a few seconds,I feel my feet touch the ground. Is Sun using black magic now?!

"It's ok Sunshine. See, your safe, with me!"

I hesitantly let go of him, acting like he would evaporate once I did.

"H-how did you do that?! Y'know, the whole...flying thing!"

He holds out his hand for a second, then a wire comes down from the ceiling and he grabs it. He then turns around and shows me a hook on his back. He then attaches the wire to it and he instantly ascends to the sky.
