Drew flipped and twirled his lightsaber around in his hands. He smiled, knowing that his years of using plastic lightsabers had come in handy. He glanced at the blue blade and then at his pocket.
He shut off his saber and clipped it onto his belt. He turned around, seeing Luke.
The Jedi Master had a smile on his face. It had been too long since Luke had trained someone in the ways of the Force. He had forgotten how fun it was.
Drew walked up to Luke. "Master, I don't mean to be rude, but I don't really like having the color blue for my lightsaber."
Luke nodded. "That's understandable. I might have some extra Kyber crystals lying around somewhere. You could go with green, yellow, or even purple."
"Actually," Drew said, pulling the crystal from his pocket, "I found this orange Kyber crystal that I want to use."
Luke eyed the crystal before looking back at his apprentice. "Alright. Let me show you how to put it in."

Drew took a deep breath. Luke had given him a demonstration on how to deconstruct his lightsaber and then reconstruct it with the new crystal.
In order to do so, Drew had to use patience and the Force.
Drew opened his eyes and groaned. "That's not in the right place... again," he sighed. He slumped to the ground. "This is a lot harder than LEGOs."
Luke raised an eyebrow, confused. What were LEGOs? He shook his head before looking at Drew.
"Just breathe, Drew. Let the Force flow through you. Once you do that, lightsaber construction will be much easier."
Drew nodded. He took another breath, imagining the Force flowing through every living thing. The Force was even flowing through him, and through his deconstructed lightsaber.
He could do this.
Drew stood up and closed his eyes. The lightsaber rose into the air. The blue crystal popped out, and the orange crystal went inside. The black and silver parts that made up his saber arranged themselves perfectly.
A hum, followed by a whooshing sound, reached Drew's ears. He opened his eyes, still keeping his concentration on the airborne saber. A grin spread across his face as he moved the orange saber into his hands. The blue crystal moved towards his pocket, seemingly as a transfer of power. He put the crystal into his pocket and turned to Luke.
"Did I really just do that?" Drew asked in astonishment.
Luke nodded. "Yes. You have a lot of power in the Force."
Drew laughed. "I did it! Yes!" he exclaimed, jumping for joy.
"I just want to warn you, though. Wielders of orange-bladed lightsabers tend to gravitate between the light and the dark," Luke said.
Drew paused. "Really?"
"Yes. Be wary of that."
"I will!" Drew said before running around the island, swinging his new lightsaber.
- ♆ -
A few hours later, Drew was still messing with his saber.
"Drew."
Drew stopped. That voice wasn't Luke's. Actually, it sounded very similar to his own voice.
"Who said that?" Drew asked, turning around. His eyes widened.
A Force ghost floated before him. However, this was no ordinary Force ghost.
Drew couldn't believe his eyes. It was Aandrus Siil, a Star Wars character that Drew had created. How was this character real?
