Chapter 3. Decisions

Stein narrowed his eyes, and looked away, "what makes you think I care?" He asked in an almost distant tone. Knowing his argument was invalid, he had given away too much already.

"Don't act like you don't." The witch snapped, giving him a death glare. "I've tried coming in here multiple times, as different people and you never noticed me doctor, not until now." She smiled

"She's nothing to me, but an experiment." He lied, looking straight into those golden eyes he's come to hate so much. "I told you before, I'll tell you again. I'm not capable of love, and neither are you."

Medusa chuckled and shrugged "alright, then I guess you won't care if I do kill the stupid hammer girl. Maybe I'll even dissect her... ~ " she mocked, slowly running her hand down his chest. Tracing every scar with a single finger.

"Stop..." Stein hissed looking away again, fighting the sudden to tremble at her touch.

"Oh? You don't like it~?"

"No."

"Too bad...because I do." Medusa whispered against his ear. "You're growing weaker each day~ I can sense it. You're loosing control. You're letting your guard down." She chuckled as she continued to trace his entire body. "You know you want to give in. Into the madness, into the power, the insanity. To me~"

Medusa pulled away and tiled her head. "My my, you seriously are a hard soul to break." She shrugged, taking out something small from her lab coat.

"But I do my job well." She laughed once more and snapped her fingers. "Eurka, bring me the girl, I think it's time Stein makes a choice."

From the darkness, all that was heard was a 'ribbit'. Steins breathing grew heavy, as his anger began to get out of control. "Bring who!?" He demanded, pulling on the chains holding him back, a futile effort.

Medusa laughed again and shook her head "tsk tsk, that's no way to ask doctor, a simple please would do." She teased, taking his chin and forcing him to look at her. "I told you. I will break you. I do my homework professor. And believe me I have been studying you, but you only confirmed my theory."

The door opened and Free was the dies to come in, turning on all the lights in the room. Practically blinding Stein.

"You wanted the girl?" The man asked, pulling a long chain roughly. A small whimper was heard, obviously female.
"Come on get in here!" Free yelled, pulling the chain once more.

Medusa laughed and looked at Stein. "You see, this poor creature has been here half the time you have been. Rumor is, you ran away and she ever so bravely, went after you." She teased with a small pout.

"Miss Marie, welcome, I hope you enjoyed your treatment." Medusa smiled as the women finally made it through the door.

Marie slowly limped into the room, trying not to whimper, she was blindfolded and had chains on her hands and feet. Her golden hair looked dry and lifeless, her cloeths were torn up and also full of blood stains. Making it obvious she was too, tortured. "Please...." Marie begged, holding her hands infront of her. "Please let me go"

"Now why would I do that??" Medusa asked, walking over to the scared woman and removing her blindfold.

Stein clenched his fist and narrowed his eyes, he couldn't believe that she had Marie. And didn't even want to think about what she had done to her.

"Stein...?" Marie asked, blinking a couple times and smiling, "you're okay..." She whispered,

"The choice is yours Franken." Medusa said holding a scalpel in her hand. "I can kill the girl, now, here infront of you. Or you'll do as I say." She smiled.

Walking over behind Marie, pulling her hair roughly to get her neck exposed as she pressed the scalpel against it. "5...4..."

Stien glared at her and pulled at his chains, grunting in frustration.

"3... 2..."

"Stop!" He yelled, "Don't do it!"

"Well~ I thought you didn't care?" Medusa said amused, slowly cutting the skin. Making Marie whimper, even though she tried her best not to.

"Stop...." Stein begged, looking at Medusa. "I'll do it. Just stop." He said narrowing his eyes. "Let her go..."

Medusa pushed Marie away. "Take her." She demanded looking at Free.
"Very well, she will live love, but she won't be set free, I can't risk loosing my leverage." She winked, and got out a black syringe.
"no stop! Franken don't do this!" Marie yelled, and was silenced by a harsh slap. "Let's go!" Free shouted, pushing her out of the room and slamming the door.

"It's time Stein~" medusa grinned , holding the syringe close to his neck. "I'm sure the black blood will take you, mold you and transform you." She whispered "if not~ then this was a fun experiment, you're the perfect lab rat."

Stein kept silent and looked away, not bothering to fight back, a part of him desiring this. The other gave up hope. He chuckled as the needle released the blood into his body, feeling it do it's job.

"You're making the biggest mistake you snake." He said laughing. The insanity slowly taking over.

"We shall see about that." Medusa countered. "Ill check up on you on a few days, see if you're alive or not. Until then, enjoy hell." She hissed, walking away "oh, and don't worry about Marie. I'll take good care of her." She winked, slamming the door.

Leaving Stein alone, in a dark room with nothing but his insanity taking over, laughing like a mad man, he slowly began loosing his control, his reasoning, and most importantly, himself.
