Scene 1:
It's been a few weeks. After leaving Noah in the company of his new romantic interest, Kaz and Lynn moved to a new apartment, near Firework Bay's beach. Lynn's business is still prospering, while Kaz took the risk, and it paid off, as his original phone cases are selling like hot cakes. But right now, it's Saturday afternoon, April 1st. The two are now in the living room, studying for their upcoming big tests, on the couch. They're not having classes in the upcoming week, due to a Sorleyist religious holiday called the Lord's Week.
Kaz: So, since the resources of the problematic ocean started leading to disputes in 1915, it makes sense that Gigametris was divided in 1917.
Lynn: Wrong. It's 1927.
Kaz: Fuck. Why do we have to take these Ultimate Final Tests, anyway?
Lynn: It makes sense. They let us attend the classes without even checking our files, from our previous schools. They gotta make sure we're real students.
Kaz: Oh, well... (sigh) Why are we even taking them, anyway? We're not gonna be here. This shit is pointless.
Lynn: What are you talking about?
Kaz: We're busting our asses, memorizing shit we don't need to know, about a universe that isn't ours, to take a test that's completely worthless in our universe. It just doesn't make sense.
Lynn: Kaz, chill out, okay? You have the entire break to study for the UFTs.
Kaz: But why are we even studying? What's the point? The results don't actually matter... Lynn, we're being crazy here. We've been studying so much for the UFTs, when they don't even mean shit in our universe. And we're here, wasting time away from home, and failing our real senior year, when we could be there, graduating.
Lynn: Kaz, where is this all coming from? At this point, we're obviously not graduating in our universe. And we don't have to. You have so many diamonds and gold, that when you come back, you're gonna be a fucking millionaire. Do you remember why we're here, in the first place? We needed a break. A break from our universe.
Kaz: Lynn, you don't get it. We're in too deep.
Lynn: No, Kaz. We're not. Like I said, we're just taking a break.
Kaz: ... (sigh) Whatever.
Lynn: (checks watch) Anyways, I think that's enough studying for today. The gang is gonna be here soon, either way.
[The bell rings]
Lynn: Here they are. I'll open the door.
[Lynn gets up, and opens the door. Martin, Rachel, Corey, Lee, Loren and Jessie are there]
Lynn: Come on in, guys.
[They enter]
Corey: Studying for the UFTs, I see.
Rachel: Are they giving you guys a headache too?
Lynn: You bet, sis.
Scene 2:
The group spent some time together, and then had dinner. Kaz and Lynn made a traditional national dinner of the universe, for the rest. Fries with cheddar, bacon and guacamole as appetizers, some delicious spicy chicken, and then pineapple cake for desert. They just ate it, and they're stuffed.
Martin: Too good.
Loren: That pineapple cake was spectacular.
Rachel: Yeah. You guys really outdid yourselves.
