Waking up to see that it was night, Madeline grabbed Edward's shirt to see him walking out of the bathroom. "You're awake."

"Well, I think sleeping in wasn't my idea."

"Charlie called and Alice said that you were asleep. He said it was fine for you to stay the night." He says. "So I have you all to myself tonight."

Madeline smiled as she walked over to him and touched his face. "I love you."

Edward couldn't believe what he was hearing, but he knew he loved her. "I love you."

They leaned in and shared a kiss. Edward laid Madeline back on the bed as they just couldn't help theirselves. They needed each other more than ever.

The next day, Edward walked with Madeline as they discussed what they wanted to do. "Do you want to go to prom?"

"No." She says looking at him. "I just want to spend time with you. Alone."

Edward looked at her as she leaned against the tree causing Edward to put his hand on the tree beside her head. They shared a look smiling. Hearing Bella and James, Edward put Madeline on his back before running off. Bella and James got to the spot, but there was no sign of Madeline and Edward. "I thought they were here."

"Did something last night change between them?" Bella asked.

"Yeah." He says. "Fuck."
