Anger Never Looked More Beautiful

"Nya... Nya!" Kai's panicked voice was heard as the male shook his sister. "Nya please wake up. I think Cole is hurt badly." Kai was shaking, something had him rattled, and that was what made his sister know he wasn't joking. Kai was never scared, at least he never showed he was. When the siblings made it outside, Nya saw Cole lying motionless on the wall. As they pulled Cole down, Nya quickly checked for any signs of injuries. A quick glance to her older brother's face and she feared the worst.

"Kai? No, no, no- Kai he's going to be okay, okay? Don't cry... d-don't" her lip quivered but she had to keep her composure. She checked for a pulse, it was faint and slowing. "K-Kai.. I need you to stay strong." She told her brother who was already spiraling, guilt and anger raging a war inside. "Kai!" She yelled, using the rain to slap her brother, "Help me get him inside, now." They rushed back inside, Kai laying Cole down in his room while Nya went to get Jay since he was the easiest to wake out of the ninja.

Jay would have made some cheesy joke when he woke up, but seeing his girlfriend in tears scared him. "N-Nya? Waterlilly? What's wrong?" he asked, sitting up and tried holding the water elemental close. Nya wouldn't let herself be held, which Jay found annoying.

"It's C-cole... he's... h-he's dying Jay. I don't know how to help him though." Nya had never felt more weak than she did now, but Jay pushed her bangs aside and kissed her forehead before getting up, sapphire eyes crackling with the lightning inside him, Nya felt the small shock as Jay discharged without seeming to notice.

"Not on my watch," the blue ninja said before looking at his girlfriend, "Go get Zane." Jay went to Cole's room, the electrical discharge coming off of him by now would have been enough to take out the entire power grid of Ninjago City. With his lightning, Jay was able to keep Cole's heart pumping just enough artificially before Zane was able to come in and handle it. Together they brought their friend back from the brink of death. Cole didn't wake, but he was breathing, he was alive.

Nya allowed herself to sink into Jay's arms finally and cry, startling the blue ninja as Nya never cried. He was relieved though, and hugged her tightly, letting her cry as much as she needed. Jay ran a hand through Nya's hair, kissing her head for extra reassurance as she buried her head in the crook of his neck. He whispered sweet things to her, telling her everything was going to be okay and Nya seemed to believe him.

Kai looked shocked, or like he was in shock, he watched Jay comfort his sister so effortlessly and felt something gnaw at him. He was wrong about Jay... maybe he was wrong about a lot of things. He turned his attention back to Cole, watching the steady rise and fall of his chest, he appeared to just be sleeping. Kai was glad he was okay, overjoyed actually, he couldn't lose him a third time.

"Kai?" Zane asked softly, and tapped Kai's shoulder. "Kai... are you alright?"

Nya looked up at her brother, she could see his mind had consumed him and sighed. "He just needs a moment alone." She took the two guys out of the room to let Kai have a moment for reality to set in. She started gathering things to help with Cole, figuring he would be in bed for a while. Jay helped her while Zane prepared something for them to eat.

Jay pulled Nya aside for a moment and sighed, "Is Kai okay? He looked really... not Kai." Jay wouldn't have been worried normally as he and Kai didn't get along very well, which was saying a lot since Jay got along with everyone, but he couldn't just ignore what he saw. Frankly, he was scared that while they may have saved one ninja, they were gonna lose another.

"He's okay, he's just in shock... he was the one who found Cole." Nya hoped it was just shock anyway, her boyfriend being worried about her brother so suddenly did scare her a bit though. "I'll check on him once we have enough stuff ready." She said and they went back to gathering things like wash rags to help keep Cole cool, trash cans for if he started throwing up, tissues, medicine for just about anything that could be thrown at them. She even made sure they had healing tea leaves in full stock before going back to Cole's room. She was startled when she neared the door and heard a soft song, she almost recognized bits and pieces but quietly peeked in to see what was happening. The sight she saw, brought back too many childhood memories.
