"Damn it Jay!" I yelled, having just got off the phone with the blue ninja. Jay had just canceled another one of our plans to hang out to go on a date with Nya instead. I was tired of this, getting up from the monastery wall, I marched to Jay's room. "Listen here, you may not realize but I matter too. I have feelings!" I almost yelled, I wanted to yell, scream at him even but I didn't want the others to hear so I tried to stay quiet. "Why is Nya more important than me Jay? I thought I was your best friend-" I looked down, I didn't have anything against Nya, just how Jay was constantly spending his time with her.
Jay screeched, almost jumping out of his skin as he jumped into the air. Then, once he calmed down, he turned to me and raised an eyebrow. "And you still are my best friend! I never said you aren't. But Nya and I... we're a thing, she's special to me, you know," his voice drifted off a bit at the end as a starstruck expression graced his face.
"But this is the third time this week you've canceled our plans to spend time with her... I mean come on, I get you two have something but we do too!" I didn't think it was fair, it was like I had to fight Nya for Jay's attention. "Fine, you wanna go replace your best friend then have fun, but don't come crying to me when she breaks your little heart," I spat out.
"She won't break my heart, I know she won't," Jay said in a quiet but clear voice before scoffing and shaking his head, rolling his eyes. "We can make new plans, Cole. But it's been a while since Nya and I have been able to have an actual date by ourselves. You know how Kai gets with Nya," the blue ninja pointed out, throwing his arms in the air for emphasis.
I just scoffed, arms crossed over my chest. "Make new plans, so you can cancel them again? No thanks. I'd rather go find someone who actually wants me around." I huffed out again.
"Why do you think I'm going to cancel them? I won't this time, I promise!" I was pretty sure we both knew he'd cancel again if Nya asked for another date. "You're my best friend, of course I want you around, Cole, that hasn't changed at all," he added on as he crossed his arms as well, copying me.
"Sure seems like it has" I growled out slightly. "But just so you know, this was the last time I'm making plans with you," I started to walk out of the room, "find a new best friend to ruin plans with," I added a bit harshly.
"Wait, what? What are you talking about?" Jay asked just as I left him behind in his room, cutting off half of his sentence and I headed to the only sanctuary I had in the monastery: the training room. I didn't see why Jay couldn't just hang out with me, I mean before whatever happened between them a few years back, we were very close.
'Jealous much?' My subconscious seemed to say. Jealous? What? I wasn't jealous that Nya got all of Jay's attention!
I figured I just needed a little time to focus on other stuff, like training, before I could calmly face Jay again. It may have been a few months since our last mission, but evil never rested and I knew I needed to stay in shape, especially since a diet of cake, sweets, and then almost three bowls of every meal Zane cooked wasn't the best. I coughed a bit as I entered the room before warming up with a little spinjitzu to help keep my fighting abilities balanced. Then I attempted the obstacle course, trying to beat Kais score.

"Hello? Is someone in there?" a familiar voice spoke and as I looked to see Kai pop in the training room, a training droid popped me in the jaw and I lost my balance and nearly fell off the platform I was standing on.
"Uh yeah I'm in here." I wheezed out, hopping down from the platform to sit and take a little break, realizing I was hot and sweaty. "Were you gonna train? I don't mind taking a break from trying to beat your score," I said before drinking almost half of a water bottle in one sip. Boy I was really pushing myself-
