Waking up after three sleepless nights was odd. Kai couldn't feel anything and the past few days seemed like a blur. He could really only remember feeling cold and lonely. Why? Cole had been pretty much a regular to his room- Cole.

Panic rose in his mind as he remembered seeing Cole not breathing. Was he okay? Where was he? Why wasn't he with him? This was his fault! He told him he wasn't leaving his side and now he's in here sleeping! Kai wanted to get up but his body felt heavy, weighed down somewhere near his chest. When he lifted his head to look, bright red hair greeted him and he froze.

"Skylor?" He whispered, gently shaking the woman.

"Hmm?"

"Can I get up please?"

Skylor rolled off of him and cuddled into a pillow while he got up. The second he was out of his room, he sprinted to Cole's room to check in on him. As he walked in, Jay turned to look at him as he sat in the chair and sighed. "How is he?" Kai asked Jay who was absentmindedly running his fingers through Cole's hair. He wanted to slap his hand away.

Jay sighed though he was amused at how bothered Kai looked, "He's alright, just sleeping." He smiled slyly as he looked at Kai, who was watching Cole. "You know the day he first woke up, Skylor said he was talking with her later when she tried to feed him and at some point he was telling her about the movie date."

Kai felt his face heat up slightly, "Date?"

Jay shrugged nonchalantly but internally was smirking, "That's what Skylor said he called it. 'My movie date with Kai' was how she said it. Could have just been the sickness of course." He smiled before looking at the other. "Unless…"

Kai stared back, confused, "Unless…?"

"Unless you wanted it to be a date."

"That's ridiculous, we all know I like Skylor!" Kai blurted out. Jay chuckled and suddenly there was a hand ruffling Kai's hair, looking up and behind him, he found Skylor with a soft smile on her clearly tired face.

"Thought you were over that hmm?" The woman teased, bringing a tray of breakfast around and setting it on the nightstand. Kai had hoped he was, but this morning was proof to the contrary.

Kai blushed, looking away and huffing. "Can it ya tangerine."

Skylor laughed and hummed, before gently shaking Cole awake. Cole groaned, pushing her hand away and tried to roll over. When Jay helped rattle the man from his sleep, Cole sat up with an annoyed huff. As he saw Kai however, he looked amazed, as if it had been years since he last saw him. His attention quickly went to Jay as the ginger male talked.

"Hey buddy, how are you feeling?" He helped Cole sit up and pulled his hair up into a messy bun while Skylor helped him eat.

"Tired, gross…" he coughed for a moment, spitting into the trash can beside the bed, "yuck, I feel like shit man." He shivered when Skylor put the back of her hand to his forehead and Jay sighed.

"Whatever happened to positive thinking huh? If you only focus on the negatives you're never gonna get better!"

Cole just groaned again, “Jay, what kind of tea have you been drinking?” He shook his head and Skylor helped him eat some breakfast. When he looked back over at Kai he laughed softly to himself. "You look gross man,” he commented and Kai chuckled.

"You're not much to look at either Rocky."

"Aww rude, I'm sick."

Kai stuck his tongue at him and Cole chuckled, glad to get to see the man again. He watched sadly as Jay got up to go outside where the others were and huffed. “This sucks Garma-ass. I wanna train and do something, not lay around all day again.” His two friends sighed and Skylor patted his head. Kai seemed to be watching him pretty intensely while Skylor would give him things to eat and eventually it bothered Cole enough to make him look at the fire elemental.
