You walk up to the apartment door struggling to find your keys. While carrying a bunch of groceries, finding keys isn't easy. Finally you find your keys and unlock the door.
You walk up the stairs and into the kitchen. "Dan?" You call confusingly.
"Hey Y/N" Dan says strolling into the kitchen.
"I've picked a really fucking scary movie for tonight. Like that one that wasn't even legal in Zoey101" He says picking through the bag for maltesers.
"Now why do you need to reference to a 06 show?" You say grabbing the maltesers. "I don't know. I'm just trying to point out the scariness level." He says giggling.
"Yea but I hate scary movies, you know I get scared easily." You say swiping you hand across your forehead. Dan looks at you, "I'll be there, don't worry".
An Hour Later
You both end up curling on the couch trying to find lying space for the both of you, but nothing was conferrable, also the added bonus of Dan being very tall.
Dan soon comes to the conclusion to build a fort.
Your mind lights up with excitement. Forts are romantic and less scary than the open darkness of the lounge.
Dan grabs pillows and blankets from the closet, while you set up the chairs just perfectly so the blankets stay.
You both arrange the fort to your liking and soon finish your amazing creation.
You both stare at the cute fort, admiring its beauty. You end up snapping out of it when you heard the microwave.
You rush into the kitchen to see your popcorn ready. You grab a bowl and head back into the lounge. You felt butterflies, but you knew you were safe with Dan.
You crawl into the fort sitting next to Dan.
You put the bowl between the two of you and switch on the movie.
A few minutes in there's already innards everywhere and you feel like vomiting. You felt terrified. Even if someone was with you, you've always had a fear of someone or something coming to get you, especially late at night.
Later into the movie you find yourself almost in tears. You hate scary movies and this one has scarred you.
You try and suck in your tears and loosen up, but Dan notices and holds you tighter. "You okay?" He asks rubbing your shoulder.
"No, not really, but I don't want to ruin this movie for you." You say looking into his eyes.
"Ah, don't sweat it, I've seen this one already. I just forgot how scary it was. I'm sorry." He says kissing your forehead.
"I don't mind. It was pretty cool but you know my experiences." You say looking awkwardly at the ground.
"I know. I love you," He says pulling you in closer for a hug.
You obviously let him since you're almost scared to death, and Dan's arms are the number one place you want to be.
He holds you tight and lays you beside him. "I think that's enough horror for one night".
"Yea probably" you say smiling at him.
"Good night love" He says wrapping his long comforting arms around you.
"Good night my lovely boy" You say slowly closing your eyes trying to fall asleep.
