"Uhhh... could you... move?" I questioned the man in front of me, the irritation slowly building. I'd been waiting patiently for him to move for the past 5 minutes, but I kinda need my groceries.

"Ah. Yea, sorry," he apologized, his voice flat. He scooted to the side to let me look at the product in the open-faced coolers. My eyes lingered on him out of habit. He had a yellow jumpsuit on and a very noticeably bald head, which was unusual with how young he looked. His expression was as neutral as any face could get.

I moved next to him and looked at the chicken in the cooler. It was on sale, same as all the other things in this isle. He'd been staring at two different chicken brands. Must have been trying to think of which one is a better buy. I picked up the one in green packaging and started walking away.

Before I left, I looked back at him. He was still staring at the packages in his hands. "Hey, the one in yellow is the cheaper one if you get three. The green one is better if you just need one for now, plus I think it tastes better," I informed him.

He looked up from the chicken, his gaze falling on me. "Seriously?" he asked. "But what would I do with the other chicken if I get the yellow one?"

"Put it in the freezer. It'll stay good for a long while," I responded with a shrug. He let out an 'ah'. "Good luck with your shopping."

"Thanks," he told me as I walked away.

I waved over my shoulder. "See ya later," I muttered. Why did I say that? I could have just ended it at 'See ya' and it would have been normal. But the later? What? This has got to be one of my most annoying habits.

I walked into King's apartment again and looked around, spotting the owner of the place sprawled out on the floor. I sweatdropped. "Are you serious? The monster wasn't even strong," I sighed out, closing the door behind me.

"Oi! You don't think any of them are strong!" he shouted from the floor.

"Some of them are. But this one? No, not even a little. I didn't even go up in rank for killing it," I told him as I fell back onto his couch. "It looked too lame for anyone to be impressed."

"It almost got me this time though," he cried, rolling onto his back and holding his hands over his chest like a dead man in a casket. Crocodile tears ran down his strangely stoic face.

I groaned, saying, "You always say that. What do you wanna do today? I've pretty much done everything I've gotta do."

He stopped being a drama queen and sat up, shrugging. "I don't know. I wasn't planning anything," he replied.

"Boring," I complained, crossing my legs and laying my head back on the couch. "I need new friends."

"Don't say that while I'm right here," he said plainly, deadpanning at me. I shrugged. He just put on a game while I stared at the ceiling.

I got up after about a half an hour of spacing out on the ceiling. He paid me no mind, as per usual. I walked over to the balcony and opened the sliding glass door. "I'm gonna go home and take a nap or something," I told him.

"I'll see you later, then. I'll buy dinner for your place around..."

"Ten."

"Ten," he repeated. I smiled and closed the balcony door behind me, jumping off and landing on a piece of the street that I ripped out while getting off the couch. The street was already messed up, so I didn't do any more damage.

I laid on the rock, watching all the people moving around on the streets I passed. In the middle of that, I happened to spot a very shiny head. For some reason, it was familiar. Do I know anyone that's bald? I rubbed my chin in thought and slowly lowered my rock closer to the public, but not so close that I would draw attention to myself.
