We arrived home I opened the door and Marcus went running in throwing his bag down by the chair next to the door

"Go and pack your bag! And daddy will take you for pizza afterwards okay!" I said to Marcus. I stalked over to the sofa and practically collapsed on it, my eyes fell shut for a second and released a breath and let myself relax for once. I reached behind me and grabbed my phone out from my back pocket and saw that I had a missed call from my sister so I called her back

"Hey! What's up I missed your call?"

"Hi honey! Its mom!" My mom's there?

"Mom! Hi! I didn't know you were with Ana how are you!" I hadn't spoken to my mom in a while and I was happy to finally speak to her after so long

"I left my phone at home and I'm with your dad, we're at Ana's. We would like to see you if you're not busy we haven't seen you in forever! Are you still with that boyfriend of yours? After five years?" She said. I chuckled weakly as a smile slowly crossed my face

"Yea, I'll come soon I've just been super busy with things and I don't think you've met Rio yet have you?" I'm just waffling at this point, she hates the idea of me and Rio together. She thinks he's bad for me when it's the complete opposite

"Ive met him a few times, is he good to you? Does he make you happy?" She asked

"Yeah, he's amazing he treats me well, and he has a child that he co-parents, he's seven and so sweet I'm like his second mom, and I love him so much and he loves me" I said

"If your coming you can bring Rio if you want?" She asked completely disregarding what I just said

"Yeah sure, Marcus goes back to his mothers tonight so is it okay if we meet you at around seven?" I asked

"Yes that's fine, I'll see you soon okay love you!" She hung up the phone before I could say anything else. I turned off my phone and placed it back into my pocket closing my eyes once more feeling more tired that usual. How much sleep did I get last night?

"Who was that?" A voice said gradually getting closer. I opened my eyes to find Rio walking over to me with a glass of bourbon in his hand, he sat down next to me throwing his arm around my neck

"That was my mother" I sighed as I nestled into him

"She wants to see me because I haven't seen her in ages. I told her that we'll meet at seven tonight because she's with my sister and my father Is that okay?" I asked

"Yeah, that's fine I just need to drop Marcus at his moms" he said putting his arm around me, I rested my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes exhausted because I haven't been getting much sleep or I'm either finding it hard to sleep

"Just don't tell her about your drug dealing though" I said vaguely. I leaned my head up slightly and kissed him and he kissed me back and we slowly started to make out, I climbed on top of him and he leant forward to put his glass down on the coffee table. He leant back and grabbed my waist with both hands

"I'm ready!" Marcus said standing there watching

"Shit!" I chuckled. I quickly got off of him and pretended I was trying to find the tv remote

"I can't find the remote! Can you?" I laughed

"Nah, not here" he smiled
