Five days later, Maya slept in really late until 2 in the afternoon. As she and Rio went out for dinner the night before and we're out late, she woke up but found that Rio wasn't with her. Made sense she thought as he's always busy with work, she got up and went to the living room but no one was there

"Rio? Babe?" I said. No answer

I got myself a glass of water before going back to the bedroom to get my phone and saw that I had 25 missed calls from Carson and 13 texts and 11 missed calls from Rio and 7 texts. I immediately knew something was up. I called Rio but there was no answer, I tried again. No answer. I sat on the sofa and turned on the news and I dropped my water when I saw what was on the screen, Rio In the back of a cop car

"Fuck, fuck, fuck!" I panicked as I grabbed my my phone and called Carson, it took him a second but he answered

"Maya! Where the fuck were you?!" He exclaimed

"I was sleeping! Why the fuck is Rio on the news in handcuffs, in the back of a cop car! What the fuck happened?!" I asked. I ran to the bedroom throwing my phone on the bed putting it on speaker and quickly threw on a top and leggings while Carson explained

"When the grocery store was robbed by the women again, they left an anonymous tip to Agent tuner about Rio and they arrested him. I'm doing his bail now, get your ass down here!" He explained. I grabbed the keys and shut the door rushing out of the building

"I'm leaving now, be there in ten. Keep him safe for me yeah?" I asked

"Of course, hurry up" he said before hanging up the phone

On the drive to the police station, I called Rhea and and Rio's grandmother telling them what had happened and not to turn on the news because of Marcus whichever had him. They both told me that he'll be okay and the he'll get out, as this happened a few times. I hope they were right. I arrived at the station and saw Carson filling out forms

"Hey! Oh my god, I'm so sorry" I said as I hugged him

"It's okay, I'm just filling out his bail now" he said looking back down at the forms in front him

"Where is he?" I asked out of breath after running through the door

"In interrogation, they wanna question him but knowing him. He won't say a word" he explained

"You got the money for it" I whispered

"Yep, it was transferred the second we heard of the robbery" he whispered making sure the cops around us wouldn't hear

"How long is it gonna take for them to release him?" I asked looking at the news articles on my phone about 'local gang leader arrested on washing counterfeit cash through a grocery store'

"Should release him any minute now" he said as he finished the forms on the desk

"Thank god! So, I guess plan B is in motion then?" I muttered

"By you mean, offing her husband. Yep" he whispered in my ear.

I was looking at my phone and I had texts from Ana asking me about Rio and telling me that she's kept mom away from electronics so she wouldn't see the headlines. I thanked her and told her I'd call her later. I looked up and I saw and Rio walking out towards us. I walked up to him and threw my arms around him tightly and he hugged me back
