[The next day]
Mark wakes up in a living room.
Kate offers him a mug of coffee.
"Drink this and leave. I need to go to the office."
Mark gets up.
"Why are you being so rude to me?"
Kate looks at Mark with the corner of her eyes.
"You will get to know when you remember what you did last night!"
Kate leaves her house after saying that.
Mark sits on the couch and finally remembers what he did last night.
After drinking almost 14-15 bottles of beers, he became really drunk and Kate had to pay for him. Not only that, he even tried to kiss Kate, mistaking her for Caroline. After that, Kate took him to her house, as she couldn't leave him in the pub, and while she was laying him down, he puked on her dress and........ He slept peacefully on the couch after that.
"There is no reason for Kate to not get angry on me."
Mark sips his coffee while being embarassed by his actions.

Kate had a really awkward time with Sirius today at her workplace. He seemed to ignore her purposefully. She tried to start a conversation but everytime, they were interrupted by something or the other.
Kate returns home to find Mark still at her home.
"You didn't leave?"
Kate asks Mark while crossing her arms.
Mark hands Kate a coffee and says,
"Well..... I didn't book a hotel to stay while I came here. It was all in a rush because I heard Caroline was leaving and I chased after her but alas! She left and....."
Kate takes the coffee and heads inside her room.
She changes into a light dress and comes out.
"But you can't stay here forever, can you?"
Kate sips on her coffee while getting comfortable in her couch.
"No, I can't. Atleast, let me stay for a week. I'll find another hotel."
"A week?"
Kate almost spills her coffee.
"Are you mad or what? Ain't no way I'm living with a guy like you for a week. Jesus!"
Mark looks down.
"My father cut out my monthly allowances. I am not getting enough payment from my company! You are my last lifeline I can hold onto. And yet....."
Kate feels sympathy on Mark. Afterall, he stood by her side at her worst.
"Okay. I got it. I'll let you stay for a week. After that, promise to move out and remember, never come in my room without my permission."
Kate stares at Mark.
Mark's face lits up with a broad smile.
"Thank you!"

[The next day]
Kate gets up from her bed by smelling something burning.
She quickly gets out of her room to see a mess.
"Mark!"
Kate yells.
[After an hour]
"I was just trying to cook something to show how grateful I am...."
"You burnt my pan!"
Kate interrupts Mark.
Mark tries to explain himself ,
"I-I am not good at cooking ye-yet I was trying....."
"You left a burning mark on the clean wall of my kitchen!"
Kate scrunches her nose.
"I thought I will make it through....."
"Mark!"
Kate sounds devastated.
"Give me the pan. Let me save what is left so that we can have the breakfast.
Kate takes the pan and manages to save the recipe with her amazing cooking skills.
She serves the food and both eat.
"Yummy."
Mark exclaims while cherishing the fine recipe.
Kate smiles.
[After two hours]
Kate leaves for her office after warning Mark to not cook anything before she returns.
