Money, the thing our society is built around the thing that we live for, is slowly ruining us, now let me explain.
to make more money, amazon was treating their workers horribly, making them pee in bottles and not one single day off.
After this information was leaked, rather than treating employees like human beings and admitting their mistakes, they gave their workers a box to cry in because it's the rich man's game.
to rake in more cash, nestle was exploiting the loose and sometimes lack of child labour laws elsewhere in the world.
They had little kids working their asses off so that you can have your hot chocolate on a nice winter day. Because it's the rich man's game
0.or maybe let's talk about the fact that inflation is going up faster than minimum wage, meaning minimum wage used to let you live a decently comfortable life. Now, it isn't even enough to pay rent so that more people are more needy to make sure it stays the rich man's game.
Some people aren't even given the LUXURY of minimum wage. The fair labor standards act allows for disabled workers to be paid as little as 4 cents an hour and now we can understand how just working hard isn't enough to keep from going hungry. Because it's the rich man's game.
"but that's too large of a problem to tackle" but is it really.
The United States military spent 1.92 trillion U.S dollars in 2019. An estimated 7 billion dollars to 265 billion dollars annually would be the cost to solve world hunger
In other words, between 0.36th of a percent and 13.8 percent of the 2019 US military budget would keep people alive rather than sending them to their deaths.
Now I'm only using the United States as an example because they have the highest military spending in the world, and yet their veterans still are left with trauma and no way to cope, still are left homeless, forced to beg for spare change to survive. Still left uncared for even with that 1.92 trillion dollars
"abolishing capitalism and putting in a more communist financial system isn't the way to go" is what they say. Maybe not in the way Russia did it during the soviet union. But there is no denying the fact that modern-day communism is thriving.
Think of a system that we as a country pride ourselves on, and constantly talk about being superior to our neighbors down south for, free healthcare, that's a communist system by the way.
So then why do we still pledge our undying love and loyalty to something that hurts people so much? Because everything we do is rooted in disease. Because we are taught to think with a survival of the fittest mindset and because capitalism is the foundation for a society that we are still too scared to change. It has always been the rich man's game.
