They say everything is calm before a disaster.
They say everything goes on as usual.
They say no one knows something big will happen.
They say no one can predict the future.
They say the wind that comes before the storm alerts it.
Darling, I'm not the wind that comes before the storm.
No, I'm the actual storm itself.
Fear is not weakness, with fear you know your weak traits.
Embrace your fears, they will be your strength.

I change into silk pajamas before walking downstairs. I live in a small mansion with Leo, he found me when I was young. I was in the foster program.
I distinctively remember having a twin sister but the memories are faint and take up only a minor fraction of my mind. The foster home I was in was abusive.
I could never escape no matter how much I did. No one at school noticed anything was remotely wrong until Leo came around. He found me curled in a small ball.
That was the first time anyone had held their hand out for me. His face was bright, encouraging as I lifted my hand to grasp his. The rest is history.
Leo's adopted dad was the Russian don who was really my only father figure in my life. He taught me everything I knew, Leo didn't want to be the don, handing it down to me.
Dad died by an accident, but I know it wasn't an accident. The Italian mafia has something to do with it, I'm sure. The Italians and Russians have been at conflict for a long time.
But now the Russian's power is too strong for anyone to touch. I'm munching on a bag of potato chips, lazily covered with pillows and blankets while watching a movie on the big screen.
The door bangs open with the rush of footsteps instantly making me on alert as I sit up, pillows tumbling off of me. Leo stomps in with a stressed expression.
"Sia!!!" He flops on the ground next to me, pillows lessening the impact.
"What do you need?" I keep munching on the potato chips, Leo's hand inches towards the bag and I snatch it out of his reach.
"We got the file you wanted from the government..." I nod, I hear a but coming so I hum to let him know to keep going. "And the CIA knows, they're probably on our trail by now."
I start laughing so hard, laying back with potato chip crumbles all over me with Leo grumbling something about cleaning all of this up.
"I don't think we need to be worried. A few CIA agents can't take us down. Relax Leo, we are fine and besides I can take them out if needed." I grab a handful of chips before munching again.
I put my hand to the side while watching the movie, to grab more chips but my hand doesn't touch the bag. I whip my head to the side, turning to where Leo is and he's gone.
WTF?
MY CHIPS!!!
NOOOOOOOOO
I get up, dusting myself and run out the door. I press the intercom on the wall. "Everyone listen up, if you see Leo bring him to me because I'm too tired."
Immediate action is taken. I mean, I pay the guards to do their job and this is part of their job. I smile before bringing out my basket of sweets and starting to seat while sitting on my desk.
