Part 23

Author's POV

You entered a villa with Taehyung where he planned a date. Honestly, you didn't think this cold jerk could plan a date. You had your arms interlocked with him. 

You looked around at it was a subtle yet elegant house. He guided you towards the backyard. there were beautiful lights decorating the garden. The air around was romantic. He seemed in a good mood too. 

You sat in the cute dining set up and he sat in front of you. You didn't notice when but slow music started to play and a few servants came with wine and dishes. 

Soon they left and it was only you and Taehyung in the beauty of the night with slow music and perfect lighting around. It all looked dreamy.

Taehyung : Did you like this? I mean these small dates-
Y/n : I do.

You said as you smiled at him. He smiled back as poured wine for you both. 

Taehyung : Well I want to thank you Y/n. As you promised before marriage you do take care of my family as your own and look after your responsibilities. I am glad you met the expectations of being Kim's daughter-in-law.

You chuckled.

Y/n : Kim's daughter-in-law. You are so proud of you Kim's title. And well I am glad you recognized my efforts.

Taehyung : Well I am pretty arrogant with the reputation my name holds I won't deny that. I have earned it.

Well, that's true. You understand he has every right to be proud of the name.

His parents gave him the name. But he built the respect, the reputation, the glory, and the power of the name. 

You nodded. Suddenly he got a call he spoke a few words and sighed ending the call.

He stood up and you too.

Taehyung : Y/n, I have to go I am sorry there are some legal issues in the company. I have to leave now. I am sorry I hope you will understand. The driver will get you home. 

And just like that, he left. You don't remember when last you spent a good time with him. He is always busy with his work and family. You manage a company too but you aren't busy like him.  Sometimes you feel you aren't a priority to him but just a responsibility. 

You sighed as you left for home.

[Time Skip]

It was midnight and you were watching your favorite show. You were hungry so you asked the maid to cook something for you.

Minutes passed and then there was a knock on the door. You assumed it was the maid with food. You opened the door but to your surprise, it was Taehyung, with a food tray with an apologetic look. 

You looked at the time and back at him. 

Y/n : You came earlier than I expected, thought you would come in the morning and then rush back.  

Tahyung just chuckled and you rolled your eyes.

Taehyung : May I come to my own room?

The urge you had to throw him out of the house but you moved and he entered. You locked the door and he kept the tray on the table. You sat down on the couch and ate when he came beside you kneeling before you and took your hands in him. 

Taehyung : Y/n, I am sorry. I know I shouldn't have left you there but it was necessary. I promise to make it up to you, you have my word. Your happiness is my responsibility I know-

Y/n : Yeah that is all it. A responsibility.

You went to your bed and went under the sheets to sleep. He called for you but you didn't answer. Taehyung understood you were upset and it was valid. He decided to give you time and thought to talk tomorrow morning.

[Next Day]

You woke up and saw Taehyung sleeping with an uneasy expression on his face. He was sweating and his eyes squinting as he lazily opened them. You hurriedly got near him and checked him. As you assumed he was having a fever. He tried to sit up straight and coughed.

Y/n : Lie down Jerk

Taehyung : What a beautiful way to say good morning......

Jerk.....he smiled at the nickname you have given him. He rested on the headboard. You got off the bed.  

Y/n : Here....

You gave him medicines and called a maid asking her to bring some soup and fruit.

Taehyung : No way....
Y/n : What?
Taehyung : Firstly I don't want fruits and secondly I want you to make me soup.

Now he is throwing tantrums. You sighed you asked the maid to leave as you looked at him.

Y/n : Why should I make your soup?
Taehyung : Because you are my wife.

He said as he again coughed a bit. You decided not to argue now and make him whatever he wants. 

Within half an hour you came back and saw Taehyung getting ready. You kept the tray and crossed your arms looking at the man in front who was struggling again with his tie. 

Y/n : Where do you think you are going, Mr. Kim?
Taehyung : To the company of course I have meetings and-
Y/n : Go back to bed or I will make you.

Taehyung turned towards you as he was about to say you took his tie and made him sit on the bed.

Y/n : See I won't argue with you. But in this condition, if you would work your health would only get worse leading you to take leave for maybe more than three days.

Taehyung : Y/n it's important-

Y/n : Fine then I will ask Eunha to go to the meeting. 

He thought and nodded.

Taehyung : So stubborn.

Y/n : Just shut up and sleep.

Surely you were still pissed at him. He ate breakfast and in less than a few minutes and Taehyung already fell asleep.

[Time Skip]

Taehyung was alone in the room as you were busy on a business call. He did get that he doesn't give you enough time and is always busy with his Industry. He thought he will try his best to be a better husband for you.

Y/n : Tae rest assured the meeting went well.

Taehyung just nodded. You were about to go when he called for you.

Taehyung : Y/n.....are you busy right now?

Y/n : No. why?

Taehyung : Sleep with me.

He said bluntly making your cheeks flush. 

Y/n : What?
Taehyung : What?
Y/n : You are sick right now jerk-
Taehyung : So you worried that you also might get sick by staying near me?

Y/n : No-
Taehyung : No? You are ready to get sick?

Y/n : Shut up Taehyung. I meant you are sick so you should rest.

Taehyung : I just want to sleep with you nothing else.
Y/n : Oh 

Taehyung chuckled.

 Taehyung : Come here.

He said as he spread the blanket and patted his side. You crawled towards him and lay beside him as he engulfed you in his arms.

I will try to update faster next time.
