Holes Fanfiction (Squid)

Dylan's pov

After finishing dinner i walked back to d tent and layed on my cot as the boys walked back in and grabbed their clothes and tokens and went to take a shower and i grabbed a piece of paper and a pen and wrote to my mom

After their showers the boys came back and got dressed as they layed on their cots and i put my letter in my bag with my pen as dr. Pendanski shouted it was time for bed and the boys fell asleep but i stayed up because i couldn't sleep so i got up and walked outside and sat on the step and seen stanley

" Hey " i said as he smiled at me

" Hi " caveman said

" Can't sleep either? " I asked him

" No " caveman said

" So you stole shoes to? " I asked caveman as he smirked

" No, i was walking home and they fell and hit me in the head " caveman said as i giggled

" I didnt steal the shoes for me...it was for a friend " i said as caveman got confused

" What? " Caveman asked me

" Me and her went shopping and she dared me that i couldn't steal a pair of shoes...i grabbed the first shoes i seen and put them in my bag and when we walked out of the store....a store associate stopped me and she ran and i got busted " i said bummed out

" Man, that's awful " caveman said as thinking about it made me still wanna punch her in the mouth

" Yeah, so you seem to nice to be here... what's your story? " I asked caveman

" My dad's an inventor for shoes...when i got the shoes it felt like destiny and i got busted by the cops " caveman said as i checked my watch it was 2:00 in the morning

" We should probably get some sleep " i said as stanley held his hand out for me to grab and i grabbed it and he helped me up and we fell asleep

Out of all the guys at camp green lake stanley is the only one thats nice to me along with zigzag and magnet but its like squid is struggling to be nice to me...i dont know what his problem is with me but it feels good getting under his skin sometimes

A horn went off and all the boys started groaning like they didnt want to get out of bed and i groaned because i didnt want to get up, i got up brushed my hair and walked outside with the boys who were half asleep

Mr. Sir walked over to a shed called the library but it wasn't filled with books it was filled with shovels, i grabbed the shovel that had red tape on it and xray took it from me and handed me another one

" Yo, you took xrays shovel...its smaller than the rest of them " magnet said as squid walked over to me while eating a tortilla with honey on it

" Smaller shovel, smaller holes " squid said walking away as i checked squid out and lightly smiled as i walked with caveman and zero who became my friends

After awhile we got to the desert and mr. Sir showed me where to dig my hole

" Now if you find anything interesting you are to report it to me and dr. Pendanski " mr. Sir said as i sighed

" What am i supposed to be looking for? " I asked mr. Sir as he sighed

" Your not looking for anything your building character " mr. Sir said as somehow i knew that wasn't true...you don't just dig holes for no reason

I shoved my shovel into the dirt and started making a hole, halfway through with my hole i drinked half my canteen of water and dr. Pendanski came by with snacks and we got in line...squid grabbed my arm and pulled me to the back of the line and i scoffed at him

" Get your place in line girl " squid said with his sexy southern accent wait why am i thinking this way about squid he's a jerk to me

After eating our snacks and finishing digging my hole, me and zero walked back to the tent as i grabbed my tokens and my clothes and towel and walked to the showers as i put the tokens into the slot and turned on the cold water which felt amazing, i quickly cleaned my hair and washed my body as squid hopped into the shower and he was butt naked and my eyes widened as i finished cleaning myself but still had soap in my hair and good thing i still had tokens but i quickly grabbed a towel and covered myself

" Um excuse me squid... can't you see that im showering right now? " I said as squid looked at me and scoffed as he turned to me and i looked away

" Don't flatter yourself...im not looking " squid said as i scoffed at his rudeness and figured my hair is clean enough so i walked away and walked into d tent and got dressed as squid came back

The bell for dinner rang and we all walked into the cafeteria and got our trays and food and sat down...

" Dylan, you have got to be the fastest digger I've ever seen...way faster then zero " xray said eating his food and bread as squid ate his food

" Yeah, i guess digging isnt that bad " i said eating my food

" Not that bad " caveman said as he showed me his hands which were sore and blistered

" Come on...zero is way faster than her...he finished digging before her " squid said in his sexy southern accent

" Come on man, why you gotta keep frontin with her...." Armpit said to squid

" Im not frontin with her..." Squid said as xray gave him a look

" Its okay, I've got annoying brothers..." I said finishing my food as squid just stared at me in offense that i called him annoying like a brother and i went back to the tent and sat on my cot trying to figure out why squid hates me so much and zigzag and magnet and xray and caveman walked into the tent laughing

" What's so funny? " I asked them

" Nothing, just you friend zoning squid " xray said smiling

" What? " I said confused

" Dude, your the only girl at camp and you got all these dudes chasing after you except squid...and none of us can figure out why " xray said as magnet snickered

" Let me guess, you two have a playful banter thing going on huh? " Magnet said smiling

" Think whatever you want....squid can't stand me and i dont know why " i said as xray and magnet and zigzag laughed

" Dude, don't you get it yet? " Xray asked me as i was still confused

" Nah, let her figure it out on her own " zigzag said as the rest of the boys walked in and squid walked in and we walked to the rec room
