A Musical Bond
- It so happened to be a sunny morning at the Gracefield House, as Isabella roamed around the forest, awaiting for her special friend to arrive. Her long braid flowing behind her as she ran around until eventually stopping to catch her breathe. The "musician" or so she called him was taking quite long as she looked around to see no sign of the purple-headed boy.
- She was quite lively today for no apparent reason. She didn't want to go chasing around for him, so instead, she hid in the exact spot he'd come everyday to play his special instrument. Isabella made her way trying to be as careful as possible while climbing the tree as the fresh breeze blew.
- The black-haird girl dusted any dirt that went onto her clothing as she sat down, trying to be comfortable on the tree branch. Looking around, she finally spotted the person she looked for as a mischievous smirk grew onto her face. This was going to be the best surprise ever!
- As the boy made himself comfortable, he had no clue what was about to jump him, as he looked around for the girl in curiosity, knowing she said she'd wait for him. He shrugged it off, but that was when he let his guard down and Isabella jumped out of the trees' leaves.
- "Boo!" She shouted, hanging upside down, her feet balancing her weight on the tree. The poor boy got frightened by the act, as he gripped onto his instrument makibg a weird face. "Geez.. you scared me!" He took deep breathes trying to calm his racing heart as Isabella only got down to smile at him. She made her way to sit on the short grass beneath them and got comfortable. "Well.. you were taking so long, I just didn't know what to do." She played off innocently as the breeze flew the hair off her face. All the boy did was stare in awe at the girl before focusing back on what he wanted to do.
- "You were going to play, right? Well? Let me hear it!" Isabella leaned in. The purple-haird boy was shocked by this, as nobody but the mother of the orphange has ever heard him play before, or at least properly. "It's.. not even finished yet." But the poor boys excuse was onky shut down. "So? I still wanna hear it!" And that was when he gave up to the stubborn girl. He looked into her deep purple eyes for the last time, just to see the glimmer in then as she awaited for the music.
- He sighed before getting ready to play, taking a deep breathe in and starting to string along as he hummed. Isabella swayed and brought her knees to her face as she laid her haid ontop, relaxed by the melody. She peacefully watched him play as his eyes closed to focus, maybe.
- Once he was finished playing, she clapped for a bit, glad to be one of the first to hear it. "That was amazing, 𝐿𝑒𝑠𝑙𝑖𝑒! Do you have a name for it?" Her feet were placed straight as she stretched her back a bit. "Actually.. no. I only made this up a few nights ago in the library. I guess I never really thought of a name." He thought.
- The two sat in silence before Leslie spoke up. "How about I name it after you?" Isabella's eyes widened as her cheeks were now dusted with a light pink. "Really?! I would be honoured!" She spoke in a "proffesional" tone as the two laughed together.
- "Isabella's Lullaby.. has a ring to it don't you think?" And there it was, that bright smile as her cheekes raised, her eyes shinibg eith the same glow they always have. It was like Leslie was falling inlove with her all over again.
- He felt himself smiling, just a bit. As he nodded at the statement. "Isabella's Lullaby it is."
