Flower's See Everything is written like a garden, Jalen is depicted holding a marigold. Marigolds represent pain and grief which is a common occurrence within the story- But I wanted more depth than that in the marigold. Marigolds grow best with full sun which represents how he is open and enlightened throughout the story. He truly sees everything come to light even if it's hidden from him.

Now Marigolds are one of the best companion flowers and I do truly believe Jalen is a good companion for anyone. However, some people dislike him due to his- odder behaviors. French Marigolds tend to have poisonous roots- and although are still good companion flowers I think since Jalen acts so strangely based on his roots (his trauma) this also fits.

The Marigold is an AMAZING companion with roses, in an alternative universe he becomes the son of Nex who is usually depicted as a rose. Which isn't that fitting? I agree.

Since Stephan became a personal antagonist to Jalen I made him a moonflower. They grow best in dark times and in the situation Stephan was placed in (a rather gloomy situation alike to where moonflowers grow) he acted as he should have. HOWEVER moonflowers grow in a completely different environment compared to marigolds making them NOT COMPANIONS. This does not mean moonflowers can't grow with other flowers and this does not mean Stephan is some independent bad person. It was just he would not mix well with Jalen. How a moon flower would not mix well with marigolds.

Maia, Jalen's sister, is a Narcissus flower. She is way too focused on herself to the point she asks her siblings to help her cave into her eating disorders and rarely helps them. However, she has a her sweet moments which I believe the Narcissus flower also represents well with it's welcoming bright yellow color. Narcissus grow in partial shade, making them a good companion with marigolds and moon flowers. This means she's a little bit in the middle but not fully on either side of Stephan or Jalen.

Rhododendron is a flower with an extremely long name but they represent danger. They also grow in large numbers which is proving how overwhelming they can be and feel as if you can't escape them. Making them the perfect flower to represent Jalen's father.

They grow in full sun or moderate shade showing how he mingles with everyone and is too involved with everyone. (In the worst ways.) While Jalen's mother is purple hyacinth which is a flower the represents guilt and regret. However they need to be a cooler climate showing how she's still a cold person regardless of how guilty she may be.
