“hello commander Y/n how are you today?” Poe had always made it his mission to talk to Y/n everyday and although it was obvious he would never admit his crush on them, plus they had no interest in responding by day 100.

He wouldn’t even call it a crush, if anything he just admired their commitment to the resistance and their beauty, it’s obviously not a crush.
At this point Ray and Finn were fed up with his behavior and so they were destined to do something, anything.

“Hey Y/n! I was wondering if you wanted to get lunch?” Ray asked and Y/n looked away from the troops they were training and smiling “depends on who’s going to be there?” they ask and Ray smiled glad the plan was going well “Finn, Poe, and I why?” Ray teased and Y/n blushed faintly before turning to the troops to dismiss them “do you like Poe?!” she exclaimed and Y/n threw their hand over her mouth “Ray, if anyone hears you I will murder you!” she raised the handle of her lightsaber and Ray winked and smiled “see you there commander” she saluted and ran  away.

“She definitely likes Poe, I just confirmed it!” Ray squealed with Fin and he smiled, “Poe is all set, and I just set the last hour talking him up to do it so let’s go” they left to the lunchroom and waited at a table.

Soon enough Poe walked in then Y/n in a not so intimidating outfit, a pair of simple jeans and a plain shirt, pairing it with boots and their commander jacket and that was enough for Poe to loose it.
“good to see you could make it Y/n” Ray nodded and Poe nudged her to go “oh we’re going to get lunch and that may take a while so don’t leave us, or do if you have something better” Finn called and Poe took a deep breath turning to the girl besides him.

“so Y/n, I just wanted to say your really cool and its an honor to be besides you” Poe blurted before mentality cringing at the wording “well Dameron, I must say the same, not only are you charming and hard working you aren’t the worst looking” they blushed as he stretched back putting his hand behind them.

“they are taking forever” Poe mumbled and Y/n looked down at their watch before huffing “I have to leave soon, for a meeting with Leia” they shook their head in distraught as Poe hit their arm softly “wanna go see my X-wing then?” They looked up smiling “Obviously!” They exclaimed maybe a little too loud and Poe led the way to his X-wing.

Usually no girl wants to see an X-wing but this the commander we're talking about and they love X-wings.

“this is the ship” he gestured and Y/n smiled, “it’s nice” they smiled and walked over to Poe, they locked eyes and like someone lit a fire it got 20x hotter and the only way to put it out was to get closer and closer until we finally kissed each other.

Poe flipped us around so they were slammed against the side of the X-wing and they smiled pushing him away lightly “was I too rough?” he asked and They shook their head “of course not, but I have a meeting with Leia” they ran their hand under his chin and he frowned “I’m sure it could wait” he whispered and they shook their head.

“it’s about taking down the Empire so sadly it can’t but we can continue this later” they started to speed walk away and get caught up.

“what does this make us?” he asked and I kept walking “what do you want to be?” they responded turning to look at him “a lot more than friends than kiss?” he questioned as they stopped outside of the door, knocking and placing a very quick kiss to Poe’s lips “then I guess your my boyfriend” They smiled softly and Poe kissed them more dramatically in the emptied hallways “then I guess your my partner” he whispered as Leia opened the door.

“General Leia, sorry I’m a little late” they nodded to Leia and Poe just stood there like a peeping tom who was caught “Poe what are you doing here?” She asked clearly unamused “dropping Them off obviously, see you later” he waved and quickly left as Y/n let out a heavy sigh.
