"Sara! Hey! That was amazing! You sang beautifully!" Steve said as he chased her to the car.

"Thanks Stevie. I'd been practicing all week, church choir needed to be more lively" She smiled as the entered the car.

"Well, it was alive today. Nick Fury was even smiling, he never does that" Steve chuckled as he put the car in drive.

"Ma say anything about dinner?" Sara whispered.

"No... pa was out drinking again..." Steve responded, causing a tear to come to her eyes.

Saraphina Rogers, younger sister to Steve Rogers. Son and Daughter of Sarah and Joseph Rogers. Saraphina, never missed a Sunday at church, or a day of school. She's never been in trouble with the law, not even a speeding violation. Good grades from Kindergarten through college. She's a parents wet dream. Her mother and father did an amazing job raising them, they seemed to do everything right. But, Joseph let himself slip back into the bottle recently. Something that is an after affect of the war, she understands in a way. But it breaks her heart to see her mother and father fight over it.

"I know... I heard him leave after the fight..." Sara mumbled as she stared out of the window.

Steve sighed, he had wondered if she heard their parents arguing like he did. Normally during those nights, she would find her way into his room. When it came to Sara, Steve always worried. She was too kind and too pure for this world, she saw the good in everyone and everything. She believed in second chances and redemption. She dropped everything to help the ones she loved. She rarely ever talked about things that bothered her, but she always had a smile adorned on her face.

"Are you okay..?" Steve asked slowly.

"Perfect Stevie, think we could run by the store. I wanna get some peaches to make a cobbler for desert." She asked with a smile.

"Course we can" He answered also with a smile.

They drove to the downtown market, where all of the small businesses gathered together on Sundays to sell things. He knew exactly where she was headed, it was a family owned business, owned by the Wilson's. They ran a family farm, and a fishing business. Sam, Steve and Sara all grew up together. They spent a majority of their time together as kids.

"SAM!" Sara yelled as she approached the stand.

"Sara May! My my, I got the peaches all ready for you" Sam said as he pulled out a white basket into view.

"Thank you! I appreciate that so much! What do I owe you?!" She asked giggling at him.

"Hmmm let me think on it, a nice slice of the cobbler with that vanilla ice cream will do" Sam said with a smile.

"Sam! You never let me pay! Come on!" Sara gasped as she crossed her arms.

"Steve, tell your sister here to take them and beat it" Sam replied looking over to Steve who was already shaking his head.

"No way, not getting into this with you guys" Steve said while shaking his head.

Sam laughed and clapped Steve on the shoulder. They started to strike up a conversation about football or something. But Sara found her focus directed on a booth ran by the church, they were looking for volunteers to help with the AA meetings they hold each week.

"Miss Rogers. You interested in helping out?" Mr. Fury asked her.

"Anything to help out! Where do I sign?!" She asked with an eagerness about her.
