Chapter Eight.

Armaan Is Kidnapped By Riaz.

Two Months Later.

After what almost happened at Armaan's birthday party both Fahd and Hanan have been avoiding each other.

Well, mostly Hanan who has been avoiding him as rumors start to raise among the other company employees that didn't know that Fahd and her already knew each other from when they were kids.

"Are you sure of what you are saying about the boss and Hanan?" one of the girls asks.

"Yes, I heard that they are together. But doesn't she have any shame in herself and her religion. Who would want someone like her, a divorcee with a daughter whose father is....."

"That's enough", Mandy yelled at them. She and Freya had just walked into the cafeteria when they heard the other girls talking.

"Is this what you do all time instead of working?" Freya asked them as they both approached the table.

"Ma'am, we were just....."

"Just what? I want to know. Let me guess all of you here have no meaning of privacy. Whatever Fahd does, its none of your business. Get it?" Mandy asks them.

They all gave her a nod.

"Why spread rumors when you don't even know what's real between Fahd and Hanan? What is it to you what they do or who they are to each other? Do you even know what is the meaning of respect?...."

"But Ma'am, all I said was that she didn't respect her religion....."

"That's enough", a voice said making everyone turn to face the door only to see Fahd standing there with anger on his face.

Fahd started walking toward the table with his eyes glaring at the girls who were seated at the table.

"So, this is what you have been gossiping about when you should be working. What I do with my life it isn't any of your business? Whoever Hanan is to me that's my business and not yours", he tells them emphasizing the word My.

The girls were nervous about what their boss would say next.

Is he going to fire them? Or worse?

"Get back to work, if I hear any of these rumors again. Let's just say you three won't be happy", he tells them walking away. But before doing that he turned to face Freya and Mandy who just nodded knowing exactly what to do.

"Why would you spread a rumor like that? Divorce or not, she is a woman and a mother and almost someone like you. Put yourselves in her shoes then maybe you will understand what she had gone through to get to where she is now", Mandy tells them. "Whatever the relationship between your boss and her, it isn't any of your business, always remember that", she added leaving them to their thoughts.

After that, the rumors began coming down but Hanan was still always looking over her shoulder whenever she walked into Fahd's office.

Even Mandy and Freya started to notice this about her but they couldn't say anything as they didn't want to hurt her more than the rumors did.

It was time to go and take Armaan from school. Fahd and Hanan both used to go but now, Hanan went by herself.

She hoped and prayed that Fahd didn't notice that she left without him for the first time since Armaan had joined the school.
