Hanan's Midnight Cravings.

Three Months After They Found Out About Hanan's Pregnancy.

Hanan was in bed with her husband but she couldn't sleep. She didn't want to wake him up to go and get her some food.

Time to get up and go to the kitchen but don't make noise.

Hanan got up from the bed and walked out of the bedroom to get to the kitchen.

"Where is the leftover pasta?..."

She started looking for the food in the fridge when she heard someone coming down the stairs. Hanan then turned to face her husband looking at her while shaking her head.

"What happened? Why did you come down?", Hanan asks him.

Fahd walked toward his wife and put his hand on her face.

"Because you aren't by my side. And what are you doing?", he asks her but he got his answer when he saw the food on the countertop. "Go and sit down. I will remake it for you", he added leading her to the chair before she could even protest.

Hanan couldn't help but smile at him. She felt lucky to have someone like him in her life.

Her healer.

But he always tells her that she is the one that healed him. In a way, they both healed each other.

Fahd started chopping some vegetables to add to the leftover pasta and he knew that his wife would ask for ice cream or even chocolate after having the food.

Before placing the food, he gave her a glass of her favorite juice.

"Thank you"

"You don't have to thank me all the time. Besides, it is my duty and I am happy to do it. You are my wife, my life and you and Aru mean the world to me. Plus this baby", he tells her making her tear up.

This is what she had always wanted in her life and now alhamdullilah she has it.

"I know that but you also deserve to be thanked all the time. So I will always thank you no matter what you tell me", she tells him wiping her tears before he can even see them.

If he did, Fahd would rush to her to ensure she was okay.

"I know. Here you go, my wife", he tells her putting a plate of food in front of her.

He had remade the leftover pasta by mixing it with her favorite veggies and some halaal sausage.

"What about you? We will share, okay?", she says taking the pasta and putting it in front of him to take a bite.

"Yes, but first, you have it. I know that you are hungry", he says feeding her.

Alhamdullilah to my wife, and my family. This is what I always wanted to have. I have my brother, my best friend, and it is all thanks to Armaan who made it possible with what she did. Even though, she didn't know what she was doing.

"Thank you for this....."

"You are most welcome. And now do you want ice cream or chocolate?", Fahd asks his wife while holding ice cream and chocolate.

Hanan fell more in love with him. It was like they were soul mates who needed each other.

"Ice cream, we can share", she answered him.

"Okay but we need to go back to our room before Aru comes down wondering what is happening", he tells her.

She happily nods and takes his hand and walked back to their room.

They both sat down on the bed while enjoying each other's company and eating the ice cream.

After finishing the ice cream, Hanan looked at her husband with love in her eyes. The love that she thought she would never feel again.

"I want to say something, Fahd. I was scared when you asked me to marry you because of my past. But deep inside my heart I knew that you weren't a bad person because of the way you treated Aru. You loved her more than...Riaz did. You wanted her...when he didn't. I fell in love with you because of the way you cared and loved us. I remembered when Aunt Hayat used to say that I shouldn't let the bad memories of my past ruin my future. And I am thankful that I listened to her because if I didn't, I wouldn't be here with you. Being a family. So, thank you for loving me. I love you so much", she tells him.

Fahd's eyes shined with unshed tears. He hugged his wife and didn't want to let her go.

"I should be the one thanking you and Aru for bringing back my brother and my best friend Azaan. I don't know how she did it but I will always be grateful for that. And I love you more", he tells her. "Now, time to go back to bed, okay?", he asks her knowing that Hanan might want something.

"No, I don't need anything else. We can sleep", she tells him smiling.

Loving someone doesn't require materialistic things. It requires your attention, your care, and your love. That's what love is. To be there for someone that means the world to you just as you mean the world to them.
