Chapter Twenty-Four.

Kareem's End.

One Month Later.

Every bad, good, or worse things always end no matter how big or small they are.

It has been a month since Kareem shot Fahd but thankfully the bullet didn't mean any major organs.

Fortunately, Kareem is now locked up along with Riaz in the warehouse but in separate rooms because Azaan and Fahd didn't want them to see each other for now.

"Fahd, what are you doing?" Hanan asks her husband who was working on his laptop even though the doctor told him to have complete rest for two months so that he can heal properly Fahd was too stubborn as he needed to find more evidence against Kareem so that he can send him to prison for his family's safety.

"I..."

"Don't tell me, you are working when the doctor specifically said that you shouldn't stress yourself but you are too stubborn. Why?" Hanan asks him while trying not to glare at him.

"Just one email and then I will rest..."

"Fahd..."

But Hanan was interrupted by Armaan who had just arrived from school and ran to her father while ignoring Hanan standing with her arms crossed on her chest.

"Armaan, are you forgetting something?" Fahd asks her while pointing at Hanan who was just looking at them with her eyes wide open.

"Mamma...."

"You two stay with each other. Don't follow me", Hanan tells them, and then she walks out of the room without looking back.

Did she forget me? I know that I am not supposed to feel jealous but I can't help it. She has been my world and my life. Maybe I am just acting childish.

Meanwhile, Armaan and Fahd were looking for a way to make up to Hanan for what she did to her mother.

Ignoring her.

"I feel bad, Dad. I have hurt her..."

"Hey, listen. I will help you in apologizing to her. But we need to plan about it", Fahd tells her while wiping her tears. He started planning what Armaan must do for her mamma.

"Okay, Dad. I will do that but..."

"Be positive, habibty. And trust your dad".

Hanan was in the kitchen drinking water when she heard a cry from Armaan's room. She dropped everything to go and see what was wrong with her daughter.

"Aru, are you alright? What happened?", Hanan asks while opening the door only to find her daughter and her husband holding a banner that says;

"We are sorry, please forgive us".

Hanan couldn't help but smile at them. As their hands were covered with paint along with their faces.

"Mamma, I am sorry for how I treated you but I missed dad as I didn't see when I was staying with Uncle Azuu. I am sorry, mamma", Armaan says to her mother while pouting.

Hanan moved to her daughter and hugged her. She then kissed her forehead.

"I forgive you, my baby. And I understand you", Hanan tells her daughter who smiled at her.

"Thank you, mamma. I love you so much....."

"More than me?", Fahd asks her.

Armaan turn to face her father who gave her a lopsided smile while looking at Fahd.

"I love you and mamma equally but mamma will you love me when you have another baby?", Armaan asks them.

Fahd walked to his daughter and kneeled in front of her taking her hands with his.

"No, we will love you the same as your brother/sister. Besides, you will be promoted to a big sister and you will need to take care of the baby along with your mother", he tells her and hugs her.

"Mamma, join us. So that we can have a group hug", Armaan calls out to her mother who then joined in the hug.

My family, my world, and my happiness are in my arms. But I need to take care of Kareem and Riaz once and for all.

After a few days, Fahd had to meet Azaan to finish the matter about Kareem and Riaz once and for all. He needed his wife's permission to go out because he didn't want to offend her by going out without telling her.

Hanan has been protective of her family, especially after what happened to her husband with Kareem.

Hanan knew that Fahd had to go to see Azaan as they have something to discuss about what to do with the plan that they came up with.

Fahd and Azaan already had a plan in motion to get all the pieces of evidence that they need to take him to jail.

"I know but be back soon. You know that Armaan wouldn't sleep without seeing you", Hanan tells her husband who nods and lets him go.

Fahd kissed his wife's and daughter's forehead and walked out of the house to meet Azaan who was waiting in the car for him.

"What do we do now? We have all the evidence that we need to get both of them in jail," Fahd tells Azaan who remembered something that happened.

"But, we told Riaz that we will try and get him out of jail if he helped us...."

"Azaan, I cant have that man around my family. I know that you told him about keeping him out of jail but I need my family safe away from him", Fahd tells him. "I don't want my family to live in fear of him ever coming back. We can get him out of the country far away from my family", he added.

Azaan knew that Fahd made sense of what he is saying about keeping Riaz away from Hanan and Armaan even though he is now getting sober.

"Fine but we need to get the evidence and Riaz to the police today", Azaan explains to him. "And dad to plan Riaz leaving this country and if he ever comes back, he will go straight to jail", he added.

They drove to the warehouse and took all the evidence plus Kareem to the police station.

"Don't think that this will be my end...."

"Trust me when I say that you will never see daylight ever again. And that's my promise to you", Azaan tells him while looking at Fahd who was thinking the same.

They drove to the police station where Aayan, Zain, and Zahir were waiting for them to arrive with Kareem.

"Are you sure that he wont be able to get out of jail?", Aayan asks Zain.

"I am sure about that besides, all the evidences that they have collected is enough for him to stay in jail for the rest of his life", Zain tells him.

On hearing this, both Zahir and Aayan breathe a sigh of relief knowing that their children would be safe from Kareem.

The only thing is to get Riaz away from Hanan and Armaan who are very important to the family, especially to Fahd.

Azaan parked the car and the police officers came to get Kareem from the car to get him into the police station.

Alhamdullilah, it is now over. Now, I can think of my family's happiness including making sure that they are safe.

Fahd looks on as the police drag Kareem inside the police station. He couldn't help but be thankful that it was over.

"You can breathe now, son. Now, it is time to get back home to your wife and daughter", Zain tells his son who smiled at him.

"I know that dad. Thank you all of you for helping me in this. At least now, Hanan can stop worrying about Armaan and me", Fahd thanks them.

"We are family who will always protect each other and care for each other", Azaan tells him while the others agree with him.

Good things take time to come into your life and when they do, you must cherish every moment with them. It can either be a moment or even someone who you wish to have in your life.
