EPISODE THREE
THEME: Vampire Rogues
MOON STONE PACK
Brianna rushed into the mansion, forgetting to greet the set of wolves bustling around to get whatever chores they were supposed to do before the alpha steps out from his office. She raced up the stairs towards the alpha's office to confirm the words she had heard from the pack members.
Brianna had gone to the training ground to look for the Beta but one of the warriors said that Julius had left to see the alpha about some disturbing issues. She changed her mind about asking from Julius but decided to talk to the alpha instead. All the more reason why she was making her way towards the office to confirm things from the alpha.
Alpha Carl stopped pacing when he heard a soft knock on the door. He exchanged glances with his Beta but Julius replied with a shrug signifying that he wasn't expecting anyone.
"Come in," Alpha Carl said.
Brianna twisted the knob and let herself into the office.
"Good morning Carl," she gritted ignoring her brother because they had a fight last night. The wolves had argued about planning a bridal shower.
Julius didn't think it was necessary for his mate to have a bridal shower but Brianna had insisted that Hazel should hold one together with the single wolves in the pack.
Julius was adamant about it because he reasoned that it would be and extra expenses on the pack and Brianna also didn't want to give up which had led into a noisy argument.
"How are you doing, Brianna?" Carl asked as he resumed pacing.
"I am fine. Pardon me for interrupting your meeting." Brianna apologized.
"You always show up at the wrong time." Julius muttered.
Brianna glared at her brother. "Why are you here? Look we don't have all the time to play around today." Julius said before Brianna could say anything.
She ignored him and stood in front of the alpha causing him to stop pacing.
"I heard about the vampire rogues wandering on our land and they killed one of the guards last night." Brianna stated the words she had heard the pack members whispering to each other.
Carl nodded. "It is true. The patrol guards came back earlier than the call time to return home." He said.
Brianna rubbed her temples. "That's trespassing and we can't let it slide or else those rogues will acquire a massive part of our lands to build their homes." She said stepping away from the alpha's pathway.
Carl clenched his fists. "They have stepped on the wrong land. My members must be terrified by the news."
Brianna shook her head in agreement. "Yes..they are scared of the rogues invading the pack." She replied.
"That's never going to happen!" Carl grimaced in anger.
"So what's the plan?" Brianna asked.
"Listen Julius, I will be on patrol tonight. I need to finish off those rogues!" Alpha Carl asserted.
"Alright alpha, I will prepare our best men to -"
Carl interrupted his Beta. "No, I don't need the warriors to come with me."
Brianna furrowed her eyebrows. "Why don't you need the warriors? Are you planning to fight the vampire rogues alone?" She demanded.
"A warriors died last night. I don't want to lose anymore of my men." Carl answered.
"Listen Carl, I know you care about the pack members but you should also be concerned about your safety. I mean what's a pack without its alpha?" Brianna stated with a worried look on her face.
"I will be fine." Carl said.
"I am coming with you." Brianna and Julius blurted out at the same time.
Their gaze met but Brianna looked away to focus on the alpha. "I'll go with you to fight the vampire rogues." Julius said.
Carl shook his head in disagreement. "No Julius, you need to protect the pack and its members while I am away."
"But I also can't let you face the vampire rogues alone." Julius countered.
"I'll go with you, Carl." Brianna interjected.
The two men turned to look at her. "You are going nowhere!" Julius snapped at his sister.
"And you think you can stop me?" Brianna hissed as she folded her arms across her chest.
"Listen-"
Brianna cuts him off his sentence. "I am never letting you face those rogues all by yourself. So it's either you let me go with you or I sneak around and meet you at the exact spot of patrol guards." She pointed out.
Julius heaved a sigh of frustration. "I am not taking no for an answer and don't you think of leaving me behind." Brianna turned to leave.
"We move by 4:00 p.m." Carl said and Julius looked at him with a wide eye.
Brianna stopped on track and turned to look at the alpha with a smile on her face. "You can count on me alpha." She bowed slightly and made a turn to leave again.
Julius tried to protest after Brianna's departure but Carl silence him. "Turning her down won't do us any good. You know Brianna is stubborn and will always do whatever she wants once she set her mind on it."
"It's dangerous for her to fight the rogues." Julius uttered with a perturbed look on his face. The two people he loved in the world are going off tonight to fight off dangerous vampire rogues.
Carl placed his right hand on Julius shoulder blades. "Trust me to bring her back home alive." He said confidently.
"Alright." Julius nodded followed by another sigh.
Alpha Carl and Brianna left the pack at exactly 4:00 p.m with the mapped out plan of making it to the pack's boundary before 7:00 p.m.
The two wolves tied an extra clothing to their ankle in case they want to transform back into their human forms after the long run through the woods.
Carl signaled to Brianna to shapeshift into her wolf form and she did, brown fur replacing her beautiful skin, longer claws covered her slender fingers and she went on four limbs and howled into the skies.
Alpha Carl transformed into a big black wolf, his frame over shadowing Brianna's petite wolf, the howling from his wolf made the birds nearby fly away into the skies. And every creatures in the woods knew something dangerous had walked into their world.
