He almost became a hollow and then at like the very last second was like surprise bitches im a Soul reaper again ✌️then a few days later they went through a gate to the soul society with Chad, orihime, yuichiro the cat, and ishida
Though ichigo beat the gatekeeper to the way out of the poor people zone by destroying his axes, Captain Gin showed up and completely owned Jidanbo the gatekeeper, trapping the crew in the poor people area.
Yui the cat goes "yo ik this chick who can get us over the wall". Ichigo and the chick's brother, Ganju, dont get along bc apparently Ganju's brother was killed by a soul reaper. Regardless Ganju decides to go with them and so they all get in a cannon and are shot over the wall by Ganju's sister
Something goes wrong, however as the cannon ball is made of spiritual energy and ichigo has too much of it, so it explodes and they are all split up
