Ishida and Orihime were up against some guy who could make his sword into flying ninja stars. Orihime got owned bc she was too mucha wimp to actually seriously fight the guy but ishida very easily downed him.
Ichigo and Ganju ran into this squad 4 healer named hanatori who was like oh you're saving rukia? Ill help you. Then led them through the sewers to the base of where the place where all important meetings and higher ups live because rukia is being held in a tower there.
Renji was waiting there for him though and they had a big fight where ichigo destroyed him and it was revealed rukia and renji are childhood friends who lived in poor town and then trained together to become soul reapers. They are apparently good friends and he has a crush on her. So before he collapses he begs ichigo to save her despite having decided to battle ichigo because rukia's execution sentence is "all his fault"
But it looks like we'll get a chad fight next episode 🙄
Literally i dont care about him. I dont hate him, but he doesnt further the story at all
