ThunderStorms (karlnap)

Trigger warning- crying, panicking, fear of thunder
Slight angst but it gets happier at the end<3

Karl was having a good day so far. He missed his boyfriend, Sapnap. He always enjoyed baking and Sapnap loved cheesecake so he decided to make some cheesecake for when Sapnap got back. When he got done making the cheesecake he put it in the fridge to cool.

Karl looked out the window to see if Sapnap was home yet. It had started raining and Karl got worried. He pulled out his phone and dialed his boyfriend. He heard the familiar sound of the phone being answered. "Hello? Karl?" Sapnap answered. Karl smiled hearing his voice "Hi, my love, I was just making sure you were okay. It started raining so I hope you get home okay" he said, looking out the window. Karl didn't hear a response and realized the phone had cut off. He just sent a text to Sapnap saying he wants him to get home soon and he loves him.

Karl decided to go upstairs and take a nap. He walked upstairs and plugged his phone in. He cuddled up into the blankets and slowly fell asleep

With Sapnap
Sapnap was just at work when he got a call. He looked at the ID. Baby💖 it read with a cute picture of Karl cuddling Patches. He picked it up immediately, thinking something bad happened. "Hello? Karl?" I said, worried for my beautiful baby. "Hi, my love, I was just making sure you're okay. It started raining so I hope you get-" the phone cut off. After a few minutes I heard the phone hang up. I tried calling again but it went straight to voicemail. "It's just the weather," I told myself.

Back with Karl
Kalr jolted up due to a loud boom from outside. Thunder. Karl had a huge fear of thunder and loud noises. It had always scared him since he was a kid. He never told Sapnap because he thought it made him look weak and pathetic. BOOM! Another loud strike of thunder hit the ground vibrating the neighborhood.

Karl's ears were ringing and his head was pounding. He couldn't think. He felt tears well in his eyes threatening to spill. He wouldn't let them. He was scared. Nobody was there. Nobody could help him. Karl curled up into a ball with his knees against his chest. His heart was pounding a mile a minute. He wanted Sapnap. He missed Sapnap.

Karl reached for the blankets and pulled them over his head. He let the tears spill rapidly. He sobbed at the loud noise. The thunder was constant. It shook the house and the bed. That all he could hear was the loud booms from the sky.

Sapnap got home quickly without knowing his boyfriend was having a breakdown upstairs. He grabbed water and put his coat up, hanging his keys right next to his coat. He heard a soft sob from upstairs and ran up to see what was wrong. He opened the shared bedroom door to see his boyfriend shaking and crying violently.

Sapnap cautiously walks up to the bed and gets under the blankets. Thunder boo.s loudly from outside and Karl jumps. He turns around and clings to Sapnap quickly. Karl sobbed into his shirt. "It's okay, love.. I'm right here" Sapnal whispers softly to calm his boyfriend. Karl nodded and moved closer to Sapnap as the dark haired boy heated his body up for his freezing boyfriend.

After a while the thunder had calmed down and now it was only raining softly. Karl had also calmed down in the arms of his boyfriend. Sapnap rubbing his back and playing with his hair. "Hey" Sapnap whispered, getting Karl to look up. Sapnap stole a quick kiss at Karl's soft, pink lips and looked into his beautiful gray eyes.

"Do you wanna dance in the rain?" Sapnap asked. That got Karl's attention. He stood up quickly without a word and grabbed Sapnaps sleeve and tried pulling him out of bed. Sapnap chuckled at his now hyper boyfriend. Karl giggled and ran downstairs.

"You have to have a coat, baby," Sapnap told him. Karl pouted but put it on anyway. Sapnap put his coat on too and grabbed Karl's hand. They walked out to the road and Sapnap picked up his lover's bridal style and spun him around laughing along with Karl. He put the brunette down and put his hand on his waist and held his hand in Karl's. They got close to each other and swayed back and forth, comfortable with the sound of each other breathing and the soft rain hitting the pavement.

Sapnap pulled away from Karl and spun him around by his hand and kissed him deeply. Karl giggled though the kiss and wrapped his arms around Sapnap's neck. They pulled away and pressed their foreheads against each other.
"I love you" they both said in sync. Both knowing they meant it.
