Horoki Hakimichi's Redemption

"Reformation program?" The villain asked one of his guards.

Horoki Hakimichi, currently at Tartarus prison.

"Yeah, apparently Endeavor wants you as a sidekick. Ha! If the new number one thinks you deserve a chance at life, then we might as well be doomed!" The guard mocked.

A few hours later the villain was brought into a courtroom. Horoki questioned why he wasn't still in prison until he saw Endeavor waiting for him, no hero suit, lawyers surrounding him.

Horoki was seated next to the number one, and he asked "Hey.... Endeavor? What the hell are you doing?"

Endeavor glanced at him, before looking away again.

"I want to set you free.... You remember our deal, right?"

He gave the hero a shocked expression.

He remembers?

More importantly....

He listened?!

"You said that if I caught you, you'd let me help you, right? I want to turn you into the hero you were never given the chance to be."

Being stunned at his words, Horoki then said "Doesn't explain why I was brought here."

Endeavor closed his eyes and said "Freedom comes at a price, and while you've suffered enough, you'll still have to earn it!"

Horoki then looked up to see a woman he'd heard Homura talk about:

Inko Midoriya.

The green haired woman smiled warmly at him, saying in a loud voice "I'd like to call Horoki Hakimichi to the stand!"

He snapped towards Endeavor to see the smug look on his face.

"If I survive this Endeavor, I swear I'm gonna return the favor." Horoki said, standing up.

He walked up and took a breath swearing to say the truth.

Mrs. Midoriya walked over to him and said "I'm going to ask you a few questions, is this fine?"

He nodded, Inko taking that as her sign to begin.

"Hakimichi, you were a part of the league of villains, correct?"

"Yes." He responded.

"Could you please tell the court when, why, and how you became part of their group?" Mrs. Midoriya asked him.

He nodded going over the information in his head.

"I guess it kinda started back when I first got my quirk.... Would it be okay if I...?"

She nodded, a guard removing his quirk cancelling cuffs. He spread his wings and continued.

"As I'm sure you all know, my quirk is called Phoenix. It gives me these two wings, along with complete fire resistance, the ability to create fire, turn into ash.... And one more." Horoki explained.

Endeavor and a few other heroes present looked at him in surprise, adding further shock when he said "Fire manipulation."

Mrs. Midoriya asked him to explain and he said "Endeavor, could you create a small ball of fire please?"

He did so and sent a golf ball sized ball of fire towards him, he held out his hand, and the fire floated towards him, landing in his palm.

"My fire manipulation allows me to control fire at will, a skill I use on the daily. It's not very useful though, so I don't activate this ability often. Then onto my wings, it's something that I gained from my mother."
