"What did you get y/n?" Susan furrowed her brows as she looked over to my test.
"A fifty." I grumbled putting my hands, along with my test down to my sides.
"Gosh y/n. How can it get that bad?"
"I'm trying! It's just so confusing! I'll never EVER understand this stuff!"
"I mean I guess the only reason I'm passing is cause of Peter." She shrugged.
"Really?! Then I don't know why you're hassling me!" I slapped her with the test.
"Okay okay!" She laughed "I'll ask Peter if he's willing to help."
"Really?! You'd do that for me?!"
"Im not going to just let you fail!"
"You're the best!" I squeezed her tight and when I looked down at my paper again I knew it'd be the last bad score I got.

"Okay so how does after school today sound for studying? Peter is free this afternoon and we already have a session in mind so you could just join me."
"Okay. Sounds good!" I nodded. We stopped at my house so I could tell my household I wouldn't be home till after dinner.
"So?"
"I'm good to go!"
We walked to the pevensies and the girls took their shoes off. I followed in suit and they took my coat and book bag from me.
"Peters in the kitchen, just go ahead and sit down."
I nodded nervously and walked into the kitchen.
"You must be y/n." Peter smiled.
"Uh, yeah. Hi." I waved measly and sat down.
"I'm Peter."
"Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too. Susan says you need help with government."
"Yeah I'm... not doing to well."
"That's alright. It can be hard to understand."
"Really hard." I laughed. He chuckled and looked down with a smirk. His hair flopped in front of his face and the sun cast a yellow ray through it. I wasn't going to lie to myself and not admit he was absolutely gorgeous, but that wasn't what I needed right now. I needed help or I was going to fail this class.
Susan walked in not long after and set down as she pulled her hair up
"Right so I think we should start with the less on you guys are on right now." Peter cleared his throat and flipped a couple pages of Susan's notes.
"Susan is the most intense note taker so literally anything that you guys learned in class will be in here." Susan let out a mocking laugh and socked Peter in the arm.
"Okay so let's start here."

After an hour or two the pevensies mom started to make dinner so we cleaned up our work and waited. We sat down and took a plate. I tried to eat as polite as I could and talked with the whole family.
Edmund seemed like the outcast of the family. I understood how he felt so I didn't take his rude comments to heart. Susan and Lucy joked with me like we always did and Peter seemed to be quiet. Their mom was very kind and took a lot of interest in me and what I'm studying.
"Peter says you're struggling in government." Their mom started
"Oh yeah." I chuckled "it just doesn't seem to stick in my brain."
"Well then you're lucky. Peters one of the best in his class. His professors actually recommended he seek a career in government."
"Is that what you want to do?" I asked him
"Yeah. It's interesting to me and I want to be able to have a voice."
I nodded with a smile and he gave me a quick smile back.
"So what do you want to do y/n?"
"Not entirely sure yet if I'm honest. Just trying to get through high school right now." Lucy and Edmund let out a laugh.
"Well I'll be very happy to help when you figure it out if you need any resources."
"Thank you."
Dinner went by and I helped clear up. Mrs Pevensie insisted I didn't need to since I was the guest but I wouldn't take no for an answer.
"Thank you for clearing up. You really didn't need to."
"It's my pleasure to help."
Mrs Pevensie smiled and walked out of the kitchen. She smiled at her kids and said "you've got a good friend."
They all looked at me with a happy face and dispersed as they pleased.
"Want to do another hour or head home?" Susan asked
"I think I'm going to head home. I have some chores to do anyway."
"Okay. You'll need someone to walk you home. It's dark already."
"I got it." Peter said slipping his shoes on.
"Thanks Peter. It's probably best a man goes with you anyway."
"Come on." Peter pushed as he handed me my sweater. I put my shoes on and grabbed the sweater from him. He lead me out the door and down the street. It was quiet outside. The wind was slow but still present. It brushed against my skin and made me shiver despite my sweater being quite warm.
"Still cold?" Peter asked
"A little." I admitted.
"Here." Peter shimmied out of his windbreaker and laid it on my shoulders. I pulled the jacket around my arms and hugged my body.
"I'm just up the road." I pointed to a grey house.
"I'll walk you all the way there. It's getting dangerous these days."
We made it to my front door and I turned to say goodbye.
"Thank you for all your help today. I really appreciate it. I'll let you know how my test goes."
"I appreciate the thought."
"Have a nice night Peter."
"You as well."
I turned to open the door but stopped. I turned around, quickly placing a kiss on his cheek and then going inside.
"Why did I do that?" I scolded myself as I walked to my room.
