Act 1

Maia never imagined she would ever get married, her parents never forced the idea on her so it never crossed her mind. Upon hearing the news that she was to be wed to prince Daemon himself, she was taken aback. Being told you are to be wed is one thing, but to find out it is to none other than the wild and impulsive brother of the king was something else.

She was even more displeased that she had no say in the matter whatsoever, she was to go to King's Landing, marry the Prince and that is the end of it. She hated the fact that she had no choice but there was not much she could do. Arranged marriages happened all the time and none other than the king arranged for this particular marriage. Maia was determined to be mature and the handle the situation like an adult, but a certain prince certainly makes that difficult.

The constant sarcastic remarks, his attempts to irritate her as much as possible, she's convinced there is no way she  could ever love or even want to love such a childish and ego driven man.

Unfortunately, fate had other plans.

Daemon never wanted to get married, he thought of it as chains shackling him like a prisoner. So when hearing he was to be wed he was outraged and what furthered his anger was that he was told he was to be wed, not even asked.

 Daemon does not grow strong relationships with people, not even his own family. So when he starts to feel emotions he never knew he could feel for this woman who infuriates him and takes every opportunity to annoy and irritate him, the woman who challenges him at every corner and always has a come back to what he says.
