third person point of view.

Zuhra trailed behind her mother, feeling all the eyes on her as she walked pass the living room area.

She kept her head down /uncomfortable/ till she reached the kitchen and jumped on the counter top getting comfortable.

"So Mother, when did you plan all of this?" She asked her mother who was preparing drinks, slowly.

Zuhra watched her Mother's figure freeze at the question which only made her tilt her head in confusion.

"You see darling. Hussain's Mother and I had planned this way before you were even born. Not really us, but both our grandparents were the closest of friends and made a promise that they would get their grandchildren to get married." She spoke to Zuhra like tutoring a toddler.

Zuhra nodded her head slowly, reviewing what her mother said to her but got angry.

"So you knew this for so many years but never mentioned a word about it to me ?" Zuhra questioned, her words laced with anger.

"No beta, i never meant to get you this mad. It never really came between any of our conversation, so i never really brought it up." Her Mother's voice wavered.

Zuhra's anger vanished at her Mother's obvious sadness and just decided to go on with her fate.

"It is fine Mother." She sighed, letting out all her frustration calmly.

She was never really the one to scream, throw or get violent when she's angry and that's what her Mother loved most about her. Her calm demeanor.

Her Mother turned back to the stove and continue on with what she was doing while Zuhra pulled out her matte black iPhone 7.

An was her best friend's short name for Angeza. Both were inseparable, and were almost blood sisters. The only thing that was stopping them from being blood sisters were that they did not have the same mother /duh/.

Another fact about her best friend was that she sucked at texting in full, proper English sentences.

Zuhra pressed send and slid the phone back to her front right pocket.

"Alright love, serve this to them." Her Mother nudged her, holding the tray out so that she will take.

Zuhra's grey eyes widened.

"no no no no. Not happening. If anything you should give it to them. I might trip and break the glasses or pour the drink all over them."  She coughed out obviously being a nervous wreck she is.

"Honey you'll be fine." Her Mother reassured her and handed over the tray.

Her Mother walked out of the kitchen leaving Zuhra to be frozen still.

Her heart was hammering against her chest, mouth going dry.

She had major anxiety issues and meeting new people was a huge deal for her and she was just way to shy/introvert/ to do anything.
